Madame Alexander Dolls

This is a One Owner set and includes the pink and white metal trunk which is 24 1/2′ tall, has 2 drawers and a bar to hang clothes, Cissy Queen Doll and a gold and white hat box. The clothes that came with this set are listed separately. Cissy is 20′ tall made of hard plastic with vinyl one-piece arms. She is jointed at the neck, shoulders, hips and knees. She has a tosca wig with 2 bangs and a spanner bar. She has Sparking blue eyes with full lashes, perfect rosy cheeks and red lips. She is wearing ” Fancy Decor Queen”, ensemble from 1959. Beautiful tagged V neck gown with a full skirt that is longer in the back, with decor at the shoulder and waist, ivory buckram slip, taffeta panties, stockings, high heels with tight elastic, fingerless gloves, 2 bracelets, pearl necklace, rhinestone earrings and a woven silver braid crown with ruby rhinestones. She needs a Spa Day. Her hair needs a shampoo and set , her gloves and stockings need to be cleaned, I accidentally broke one of her bracelets so it needs to be repaired, her dress is missing 2 snaps in the back, the gown also has some age spots, her panties and slip have loose elastic, and she has a small knee split on her left side. I just got in a collection from one owner. Her father owned a toy shop in the 50′s. She was very spoiled! This is a 1956 Dress with snaps and Rhinestones. These can be seen in Kiley Shaw’s “The Cissy Files” on p 84. It says that there were an array of fabrics used in 1956 and that these dresses are either HTF or Rare and were Boxed Extras this year. This exact dress is prominently featured in the book. The color is a beautiful. It is in very good, I would say never played with condition. The colors are bright and beautiful and there are no holes or stains and the fabric sits out beautifully. It’s a lovely dress that will look wonderful on your Cissy!
