Alexander-kins tagged pink organdy shadow print dress and matching bloomers in beautiful condition. This dress is a lovely pink color with no fading or discoloring. There are no stains, tears holes or odors. The fabric has nice body and sits out beautifully. The matching bloomers with tight original stretch are in excellent condition. Dress for a Party “The Prettiest Girl You Know is Wendy”. Eyes open and shut freely, and she is marked:Alex on her back. Wendy has a very pretty face with great color, with pink cheeks, light brown eyebrows and rosebud mouth. She must have wore red at sometime since she has a very light pink on the inside crease of her legs. This Wendy dress took a lot of looking before I found it, can be seen on the Internet. Alexander kins/Wendy is dressed for a party in a pink nylon dress with flocked dots and pink & blue clover blossoms flowers. Pink satin bow ties in back. Has lace around bottom, neck and sleeves. (lace has yellow some from age, I sure if washed it would be white again). Has a darker pink lining on bodice of dress. White panties and slip that the waist has been tighten, not so white socks and white side snap shoes with fuzzy bottoms. Her hat is vintage and might not be the right one, but she was wearing it when I got her. It is a light tan with pink flowers, since it lost the chin strap not sure how it fits. This beauty is one of the 1956 “Southern Belles” as sown on p. Smith’s “World of Alexander-kins”. I don’t believe this doll has ever been undressed as the purse is securely tied to her hand and looks to have never been removed. The doll herself is a BKW that has original light blush and a gorgeous blonde triple stitch wig. There are no cracks or stains in her body from me peeking beneath her clothes, but not undressing her. The outfit is glorious. It is complete with the pink taffeta fancy dress in great condition, magenta fuzzy bottom shoes, magenta purse securely tied to her wrist, cotton pantaloons, matching slip, double strand necklace that is silver (I think the white wore off) and fantastic hat. The purple hat is adorned with flowers and net trim. I did not find any holes in the netting. The pantaloons and slip have very relaxed elastic, but they stay up under the dress well enough to display. All in all a true beauty to add to your collection! The dress is in excellent condition, fabric maintains it’s original finish and the fabric and tag are crisp. She also is wearing a pink taffeta slip, nylons, panties(may be not be original, but are the right vintage and style) and original pink Cissy shoes with flower decorations. She is still wearing her original drop pearl earrings and she carries a straw handbag. Her hair is in a curled ponytail at the nap of her neck. She has her metal bar on her head and a lovely pink satin ribbon above her curls. She has a lovely complexion and full lashes. There are no cracks inside her legs. I have included several pictures to show the condition. I’ve done my best to describe this as accurately as possible. White hat is a professionally made “replica” replacement, with vintage velvety flower cluster tucked loosely at side of dolls head. Perfect ivory side snaps and vintage socks. This beautiful Madame Alexander portrait doll is called Pink Champagne. She comes in her original box. I understand she is from the 1951 series. She is also known as the Arlene Dahl portrait doll. She has red hair and green eyes. Her dress is not tagged, but it is original. The flowers on her dress are in lovely condition. Her shoes may not be original and she has no stockings. The box says she is a 21 doll, but I measured her at 20. Her dress, panties, necklace, earrings, shoes and hair net are all in good condition. She has some finish loss on her finger tips, a spot on the top of her right forearm, the tops of her thighs on the back of her legs, and the top of her shoulders (see photos). Her sleep eyes dont automatically open, you have to open them for her. Her face paint is in good condition, and she has all her eyelashes. Her hair is in great condition. Her joints are tight. MINT 16.5 ELISE MADAM ALEXANDER DOLL – ORIG PINK PRISTINE OUTFIT HAT SHOES BOX. This 16 1/2 Madame Alexander doll is from the late 1950s era and still has her original box, tissue and hang tag. Her face color is high and her hair is still in its original style and she has her original pearl necklace and pierced earrings. Her lashes are lush and there are no rubs in the cheek color. She looks like a debutante #1830 with heat set tiny pleats in the filmy pink organza material that is lined in a pink silky fabric and the dress is a long style. The bodice has silk flowers in excellent shape that match those in the hat. Her nylons and shoes are all original and her skin is flawless. This doll has the jointed ankles in additional to the arms and knees and she can wear heels as well as flat shoes. This doll has had one owner and she only took her out of the box to look at as she was her “good” dolly. The hat is in wonderful shape and this minty doll would be a wonderful additional to any collection and if you refresh the tissue paper, is nice enough to give as a gift!
