Vintage 14 Madame Alexander Composition ALICE IN WONDERLAND Beauty. This 14 Princess Margaret Rose is pure sunshine in her frothy lemon gown. While the gown makes the doll, it is not Madame Alexander, however a famous seamstress and toy company owner sewed this simply enchanting gown. It is beautifully-crafted snd has a lemon taffeta under skirt as well as a lemon net attached petticoat which makes the gown fluff out elegantly. The gown is embellished with a yellow satin ribbon sash and a sprig of violet flowers at her waist and in her heir. Her blonde hair is made of the softest mohair and remains in its original set. She wears nylons and pink slipper satin Alexander ballet shoes with ribbon ties. This hard plastic Margaret Rose was made for three years between 1947 and 1950. We just picked up several Museum quality hard plastic Madame Alexander dolls. Dolls of this quality RARELY come up for sale! All are mint just like the day they were produced. All of these were originally from the Lee Sargent collection! Stunning Museum Quality 1950 Madame Alexander Margaret Rose Bridesmaid 21 RARE. Extremely hard to find doll! Hair is red and still in original set with flowers. She is 21 tall and magnificent and comes complete including flowers and her original wrist tag. Sleep eyes work well, all lashes intact. She is in remarkable condition with her lavender taffeta dress trimmed in silver. She comes with all her under garments and shoes. She is made of hard plastic. No odors or cracks and comes from a smoke free home, and was displayed away from sunlight. Just an amazing doll! It would take years to find another one of these in this fantastic condition! RARE Vintage Madame Alexander CISSY Rose Velvet Coat from 1955. BEAUTIFUL Hard to Find Cissy rose velvet coat from 1955!! This coat can be seen on page 111 of “Cissy Reference Raritites Restoration” by Kiley Ruwe Shaw. In the book she identifies the coat as being a boxed extra for that year. The coat is in good condition with no tears or odors. There are several tiny spots on the left side of the coat, and a few light crush marks in the nap of the velvet, both of which I tried to picture in the photos. The coat displays beautifully. The buttons and button holes are in great condition and do not show much if any wear. The color of the coat is vibrant and it has not faded with age. This is such a lovely coat that will look great on any Cissy doll! Smoke free, pet free home. This is the prettiest Madame Alexander Margaret doll I’ve ever seen. She’s a vintage Princess Margaret Rose. She comes wearing her original light blue organdy/nylon dress with attached satin blue petticoat, blue satin panties which tie in the back, socks, blue Mary Jane shoes with bows and straw hat with replaced flowers. The cascading ribbon attached to the hat can be tied in a bow around her neck if desired. Her dress is in fair to good condition but displays nicely. There are a few small tears in her skirt and on the right lower side there is a small hole and what looks to be a few repairs. Most of these flaws are well hidden in the folds of her dress. I pulled out the skirt in order to take the last picture. The elastic in the puffed sleeves has relaxed and there are some tiny tears. Part of the middle snap on the back of her dress is missing. The dress is a bit faded and the original flower at the waist shows age. The dress is tagged however the tag is frayed and hard to read but if you look closely, the Madame Alexander name can be seen. Her hat is in very nice condition with replaced flowers. Still has its elastic chin strap which is no longer stretchy. Her shoes show some age. The snaps are present but have come unglued from her shoes and are attached to the straps. As the photo shows, this is hard to notice when the doll is standing since the straps lay nicely across her feet. This doll is in very good condition and has a gorgeous face with lightly blushed cheeks and red lips. Her green eyes have a touch of yellow. They open and close and all her dark lashes are intact. Her lovely blonde mohair wig is in its original style with pink vintage cabbage roses and original hair bars. She’s strung well and holds poses perfectly. She displays so beautifully. I’m being picky here but want to include everything that I notice. There is a very tiny scratch or mark of some kind on the left side of her nose. I never noticed this until I started carefully examining her for these pictures. It’s very hard to see…. Probably something that occurred during production. It’s extremely hard for my camera to capture it but if you look carefully at the 2 close-up photos of her face, it can be seen. Wearing gold heels, the elastic is stretched that goes around heels. I did not remove her dress as I would never get the bow to look so nice in the back.
