Madame Alexander Dolls

This listing is for the beautiful Sleeping Beauty doll in her original box with tissue paper! Only issued in 1959 and rarely found in this 20 size. I have decided to part with her as I just haven’t been able to display her as she deserves. Sleeping Beauty is in beautiful un-played with condition. Her outfit is in excellent condition and I believe retains all the original accessories! Doll is stunning, beautiful facial coloring. Clear eyes, clean body with no cracks or splits that I can see. (I will not remove her clothing as I do not think it’s ever been removed) Her stringing is good, arms are the one piece type, not jointed at the elbows. Her hair is bright and maintains it’s original set beautifully! The heavy slipper satin dress has begun the fading process which happens to these dolls but the affect is actually kind of pretty! I do not see any issues or markings on the dress. She has her full slip underneath as seen. Original crown has been wrapped in it’s own tissue paper and appears to be mint. Necklace and ring are original and I assume have never been removed. Her beautiful lace cape is present and i don’t think it’s ever been removed either as the tie under the chin is solid and does not look to have been altered or undone. Stockings and gold heels are present and minty. Tissue paper pieces include bottom box layer, a small wadded section which acts as a pillow for her head, the piece which protects the crown, and 2 folded sheets which cover the entire top of the doll. Original cardboard insert is also present. Box shows aging and wear. Several of the corners along the bottom are split but the upward corners appear to be sturdy as they don’t collapse or buckle. Lid is missing one side lip as seen. Original sticker on box is stamped SLEEPING BEAUTY. Original wrist tag still attached to wrist. It is foiled on one side as seen.. Both sides are quite beautiful! Super rare and extremely beautiful a 1959 Walt Disney Sleeping Beauty. This doll was made for only one year. She has the Elise body with the jointed ankle and the face of a golden blonde Sleeping Beauty. This doll was created to coincide with Disneys animated movie in 1959. This doll is from my personal collection she is extremely clean and has no odors! The Sleeping Beauty has her crown, necklace, Her gold Cape, her gown, her gold shoes, and her hoop slip. I believe this gown was originally blue but through the years it is changed to a lavender pink. This is very common with this fabric. She has super high color however, there is some slight discoloration around her jawlineits faint but I want to mention it. Her hair is glossy and golden with curls. There are no cracks or splits. Her nails look like they have been painted and I dont know if that is normal for this doll as Ive never seen one other than mine. Her gold lace cape does have two small holes that I have pictured. This Rare Sleeping Beauty Queen is the Fairest of them All! This Cissy Queen came out circa 1962. Madame Alexander was moving production to vinyl heads with the Jacqueline face when this Queen came out. The company used up the common Cissy heads on the dolls, but towards the end they used up the remaining Sleeping Beauty heads to create this queen. This queen wears the fancy earrings found on Jaqueline Kennedy wearing the white satin coat gown. She has her original metal crown, which is very hard to come by. As they are made from pot metal and are very delicate. The crown has three metal arches with suspended rhinestones in the centers. There is one glue repair on the bottom of one of the arches on the right side. Not noticable but still wanted to mention. This Sleeping Beauty Cissy is a treasure to own, and any serious collector should have this Beauty in their collection! She truly looks like she just came off of the production floor. She is a Cissette that was made in the seventies. She looks just the one in my Alexander book except that the crown is different but it is attached to her but I have been advised by another collector that it must be a replacement. For your consideration, a gorgeous mint condition, Madame Alexander Cinderella made especially for Walt Disney. She was made only in 1959. She is a 9 Cissette doll with flat feet. Her body is clean and free from stains or odors. Very well- kept Mint condition. She wears a blue taffeta gown trimmed on the bodice with gold threaded lace which matches her cape. Her dress does not have any discolorations, rips, holes or stains. It is in crisp and mint condition. Her undergarments as well are made out white crisp taffeta.
