Pictured is a 7 1/2 Early Madame Alexander-kins Doll From 1953. She has the heavier body, her back is marked ALEX. She is a strung doll not a walker. She holds a pose quite well as you can see. There is a short seam separation on her neck, it does not detract from her beauty, please refer to the picture. She has red hair in the original curled, crunchy set, blue sleep eyes with molded and painted lower lashes, painted brows, a beautiful flawless complexion with very rosy cheeks & red lips. She is wearing her tagged, black flowered pinafore & pink cotton dress. She has her white petticoat & panties with matching lace trim, white socks & black velvet side snap shoes. Her woven hat is missing some of the berries. All are crisp & clean smelling in excellent condition. She has quite the personality! Please view the pictures as they are part of the description. This is one of the earliest and rarest hard plastic strung toddler dolls by Madame Alexander, made in 1948. I believe the doll was not made again after 1948. Depending on the outfit it came with, it was called either “Precious” or “Lovey Dovey”. In either case, they are rarely found. The doll is about 11 tall with open and close eyes. She is in very good overall condition. All fingers and toes are intact. Eyes open and close properly. Please note the following. She can hold a pose, but is somewhat loosely strung. There are “scuff” marks to face and body, but no cracks. Slight wear to the paint on head, mouth and eyelids. Eyelashes intact with just a few lashes drooping a bit on outer right eye- see last photo. Hard to notice, but mentioned for completeness. I have included many photos and will be happy to send more. Please examine them all carefully. She doesn’t have her original outfit or box. The dress she came with has stains- see photos. No odor and coming from a smoke free environment.

Beautiful early strung Alexander kin in organdy dress and straw hat. I had the doll restrung so she can hold a pose. I love the faces on these early dolls with pretty painted eyelashes. There is a little paint wear on lower lip. Dress was yellow to begin with but has darkened with age and has brown staining particularly on bodice. She has underwear and a stretched out slip, socks and black velvet shoes. Her clothes could be brightened with a wash. Her body could use a wash-there are light marks on her legs from wear but not bad in my opinion.

We are pleased to offer for sale this vintage absolutely adorable Rare Early 1955 Madame Alexander Kins Wendy Straight Legs Walker Strung doll. Series: WENDY is a Little Genius. Dress and Bonnet style. 1955 that is the only year the doll had no lower painted eyelashes. The tagged Little genius clothes came out in 1956. She still has nice coloring with red lips, nice lashes and curved brown eyebrows, face is slightly pale. She has dark blonde hair with some slight red touch and she is jointed at the neck, arms, legs, knees, eyes works well. Her body is a loose type. Maybe it will need a re-strung later. So far it’s still okay. Her walking mechanism works not perfect but okay most of the time. Sometimes her head may get stuck. However it’s still working somehow. Her back is signed ALEX for Madame Alexander authenticity. She wears original Madame Alexander very RARE tagged Little Genius outfit from 1956 with matching bonnet. Southern Edwardian style, also she wears cute. She wears Madame Alexander beautiful velvet shoes and white socks. She looks absolutely adorable. Her outfit may have some slight aging signs, otherwise it’s fine. Nobody played with this doll, however this doll was displayed by collector. The doll has good preowned condition. Her outfit and her body is very good for this vintage age, body and outfit may have slight aging signs. Legs has slight brown aging spots behind, dress has slight yellow spots. However outfit and doll has a very. Good condition for early vintage item. Her hair still in good pristine factory condition. 1930′s Alexander Doll Co. Antique PRINCESS ELIZABETH 24 all composition strung. This very well cared for antique composition doll is in excellent condition. This “Little Flower Girl” has spent 50 of her 80+ years displayed on her stand, in a glass cabinet (smoke free environment). Let’s look at any problem areas first. There is some normal age related crazing on her head, upper body, and limbs. Please enlarge photos to examine. Her upper legs have some wear & her left upper lashes have some thinning & a small missing “clump” of hairs. Lower lip has two small nicks in the lipstick. Her human hair wig is shedding a bit when brushed, but the hair is clean and very full. The wig itself has a lose edge that will be simple to reglue. She is strung, but it has loosened over the years. She can be posed but may need a tighter stringing after getting settled in her new home. This huge doll 24! No cracks, breaks or missing parts. The composition colouring is even throughout her entire body. All fingers/toes are there with no chipping amazing! , and no chips in facial areas (left eye as noted). Her facial makeup is still clear, bright & Rosie. Her beautiful sparkly clear blue eye close when asleep and open wide when awake. Full lashes on the right. Left side noted above. She has an open mouth with red lips, a visible tongue and 4 perfect white teeth. She is wearing a 50+ year old custom made Flower Girl gown with matching onesie and attached full petticoat slip, and we believe she is wearing her original pink leather button shoes with vintage white stockings. VNTG 1953 Madame Alexanderkins Strung Doll Tosca / Lt Auburn Triple Stitch Wig. This 1953 chonky heavy little beauty is in Excellent GORGEOUS condition. Her Tosca color hair is very nice, (looks more red in photos than in real life) She has slightly rosy cheeks still. Her eyes work perfectly. No major stains or splits, her body has some imperfections from original manufacture that look like scratches, but they are not, and normal for this plastic. She is simply GORGEOUS. This Ginny has a medium dark brown Caracul Wig. The doll is even colored as you can see in the pictures of her without clothing on. She also has perfect face coloring with light brown lashes and eyebrows, rosy cheeks, dark brown eyes and good dark lip color. Her eyes stay open unless you use your fingers to slide them closed. She is strung just perfectly as she can hold poses while standing and can also sit down well. Ginny is from the Kindergarten Series of 1952 and she is #28 called MARGIE. She has on an original waffle weave light blue dress with pink flower trim and matching light blue panties. The dress is tagged with the small script’Vogue’ tag. The dress has not been laundered as you can see from the condition of the rayon tag in one of the pictures. Most of the Kindergarten Series dolls had large satin bows in their hair. This Ginny is no different. She has a large blue satin bow in her caracul hair. To finish out her outfit is a pair of vintage pink rayon socks and white oil cloth shoes with little pink ribbon ties. She is just as mint as can be all in pink and blue and perfect for your collection. The stand is not included. I LIVE ON THE EAST COAST AND ITEMS SENT TO THE WEST COAST ARE HIGH.
