Madame Alexander Dolls

The dolls flamboyant matching shoes and hats were legendary. Cissy was a trendsetter in fashion; from classic suits and coats to casual peddle pushers and sandals. People even collected the ads picturing her newest outfits. All year long, collectors waited for the newest fabulous fashions. She had formal dresses of chiffon and satin, including a special coronation dress. Beachwear like you would see on affluent ladies at the beach, and elegant evening wear such as one might see at the opera. Her cotton dresses were known for the wide, wide skirts no skimping on material here. The skirts stood out with the help of the exquisite bouffant slips often trimmed with yards of net and lace. Cissy had elegant underwear as well, as any well-dressed lady of her time would have worn. A girdle was offered to slim her already perfectly proportioned hips. Unlike the fashion ladies of today, Cissy was not so thin she was rounded but perfectly proportioned, making everything she wore look elegant and desirable. Madame Alexanders Cissy was the first modern fashion doll with an extensive wardrobe. This doll came from the original owner, who played with her very carefully and treasured her. The clothes are in crisp original condition with clean, unfrayed tags. The clothes – you will receive EVERYTHING you see in the photos! Formal taffeta side drape gown with rhinestone accents. Cotton blue bird print dress polished separate cotton petticoat with a pink ruffle that matches the dress waistline sash. Red cotton jumper with striped blouse Straw hat goes with this. Red coat with polka dot tie. 3 piece beachwear set jacket, shorts, and top Bermuda beach wear. Blue and white stripe sleeveless sundress with matching petticoat rick rack trim on dress and petticoat. Blue print bathing suit. Nylon stockings, with original garters. Sunglasses and Alexander hat box. The sundress has five buttons down the back and a large self-tie that comes from the side seams, and is trimmed with rickrack at the round neckline and has two rows of rickrack at the hemline. Cissy also wears a new aqua tulle trimmed cancan petticoat, lace trimmed taffeta Cissy panties, new white shoes with aqua flowers, seamed stockings, a “Richard Original” bandeau and lucite purse set adorned with yellow and aqua flowers, new faux pearl necklace and earrings, vintage faux emerald Cissy ring. There are no holes, rips, tears, stains, or odors to her clothes. She has lovely original coloring no spa treatments or touch ups. The doll has clear blue eyes, full original eye lashes, eye shadow, ruby red lips, rosy cheeks, and a gorgeous full brunette wig in the original set. There are no cracks or splits to the doll. Madame Alexander 1956 tagged Dimity Clover Dress. This dress is labeled Hard To Find in the latest Cissy books. It is in good stored condition No smells. Tere is a black spot in the front left fold of the dress shown in the 3rd picture. Original sash is bright. Of the sash around the waist. I used a slip underneath for the pictures. Slip and stand are not included. My toys are all around 20-80 years old. I consider them TLC and some are in better condition than others. Vintage 1950s Madame Alexander Cissy doll. Hard plastic with vinyl jointed arms. Brunette wig, in original style. Tagged wedding dress, taffeta with tulle over-skirt, lace bodice. Rhinestone drop earrings and necklace. Ivory satin high heels. Long veil with floral crown. Taffeta petticoat and panties. Presented here is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She has a hard plastic jointed body with vinyl jointed arms. She has brunette hair in the original style, pulled up on top and at the back of the neck in curls. Sparkling green eyes, nice hair lashes, painted under lashes. She has nice coloring, coral mouth, pierced ears with. Earrings and a fabulous rhinestone necklace with clasp. Marked on the back of the head “ALEXANDER” under the hair. Good strings, she holds a pose well. She is wearing her original ivory color wedding gown with a full circle skirt, nice body, it has a taffeta skirt with tulle over skirt and a lace bodice, light pink satin sash that ties in the back. It is adorned with silk and flocked flowers at the waist that match her bouquet and crown. The veil is original Cissy with a fabulous floral head piece. There are some small holes in the tulle skirt near the bottom, mostly this falls in the folds of the skirt and is not readily. It does show age. The long veil has tears in the net, there is a repair to the side and several small hoes at the top. Underneath she wears a crisp white taffeta slip with net flounce, and. The shoes are ivory satin. Cissy enters the ballroom and a dramatic shimmering satin gown with a cascade side drape. Underneath her gown is a beautiful Petticoat from a newer Madame Alexander dolls dating from the 1960s. Dress bodice is lined in cotton organdy. This is the beautiful blue shade. She has on silvery blue shoes with nylons, rhinestone bracelet, necklace and ring. Shes carrying her original hat box.
