Vintage Madame Alexander Cissy Queen Elizabeth Coronation Doll. Dates in the 1950′s (likely 1957). Doll is jointed at knees and elbows. Measures about 21 tall. Original dress, crown, shoes, stockings, slip, panties, and arm gauntlets. Sash and jewelry is not original. Has been professionally restrung, so joints are tight. She is absolutely Stunning! Madame Alexander Composition Bride with the Wendy Ann facial mold. She stands 14 tall, full composition, very light if any crazing, no crack, missing composition, her stringing is good, she displays Elegantly. She wears her complete bridal ensemble, gown which is tagged, long tulle lace trimmed veil with original flowers, back tie lace trimmed panties also her vintage cream rayon socks, cream leatherette side snap shoes with toe bows, one shoe missing the heel, and her original bouquet. Wendy Ann is circa 1930′s-40′s, Her gown is a beautiful soft satin with 2 small bouquets of lily of the valley and leaves, a few vintage 1930′s millinery lily of the valley were added, these are at the bottom front area of her gown, which is trimmed at the hem and wrists with a metallic rope trim. The gown is clean, no rips, holes, tears or stains, closing in the back with 2 square snaps. Her veil is as mentioned a long train style with lace edging, 2 ruffled shorter layers on top with the original lily of the valley flowers and leaves, again some 1930′s vintage ones added, veil has an attached elastic chin strap, not stretched out, the back lower veil train has an area with 3 tiny holes together, and 2 mended areas, see pictures. Wendy Ann has the pensive expression, clear glassene Rootbeer colored sleep eyes, nicely blushed cheeks, rose red pursed lips, lower painted lashes, upper horsehair lashes, smoke gray eye shadow, and thin stroked brows. She has her original Honey Blonde Mohair wig, in original set of soft curls that frame her face and around the nape of her neck, no missing or balding areas, Time has Stood Still for this Vintage Bride!! A rarer doll in an unusual mid size. Should be in the home of a serious collector. ITEM SKU or Number. No seen crazing, hair intact. Tagged clothing, no wrist tag nor pin. NUMBER OF ITEMS OFFERED? Vintage/antique Jane Withers Madame Alexander doll circa 1937-39. Composition doll, open mouth, straight leg, working sleep eyes with eyelashes, painted single stroke brows and painted lower lashes. Jane Withers was a 1930s child actress, a contemporary to Shirley Temple. Madame Alexander did not secure the Shirley Temple endorsement, and instead opted to endorse Jane Withers. String has not been tightened but is stable, eyes make a soft thunk when they open and close. Inside her eyes may have age related color changes. Beautiful wig/hair like wine color. Original dress, bottom is wool plaid, top is white with short sleeve with a black vest which has white trim. I see no imperfections visible in her clothing. All under dress, socks and shoes are intact. Fingers are intact, did not remove shoes to check toes. No immediately seen crazing, cracks or other damage but I have not undressed the dol. This is a rarer sized, already rare doll. Overall good condition for her age with tagged dress. COMMENTS IN ALL OFFERS. From my own collection. Up for your consideration is a Vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll – 20. Tall with blue eyes and honey blond hair. She has been totally restored by Cissy expert Deborah Foster of. In 2016 and is in excellent condition. All joints work and are tight (so be careful when you pose her). This is what Deb had to say about my doll: This 1957 to mid-1959 Cissy is a color-infused doll. When dressed in the frilly gown, the back section of her hair is untied and worn in loose curls. Unfortunately, my Cissy does not have the beautiful, #2282 frilly white gown. But she does have an original black chemise. The chemise is in good shape with a few holes (please see photos). And a beautiful (marked Cissy/Madame Alexander) navy blue dress made of taffeta. The dress is in excellent condition without any damage. She also has a new crinoline half slip (the waist is too large so I used a safety pin to hold it up), and her original shoes that have been restored by me. I put new soles on the shoes. She comes with her earrings, black chemise, slip, blue dress, and shoes. Please see photos as they are part of the description. Although she has been restored, there are a few marks on the body as pointed out in the photos. Here are the things that Deb restored. Removed & reseated wig. Cleaned & styled wig. Touched up body paint. Blushed hands & knees. Repaired & finished knee and hip split. Removed eye paint, repainted, base, shadow, lashes, brows. Replaced lashes left eye. Removed & balanced eye rocker. For some reason, her eyes wont close, but all her lashes are there and her eyes are. Beautiful blue and the whites of her eyes white. I added some jewlery to her hands… No cracks in legs or arms… Don’t see the cracks in hip areas where legs go inside, but I think way up very very high there is somewhat a tiny crack, very hard to see…. But this has been on the leg like that since I first bought her so many years ago…. Since I have had her for a very long time, I finally took her out from a truck, and noticed her slip has some threads in the elastic… Lower price to help it sell… Still a WONDERFUL DOLL..
