ALLAN ROY DAFOE, AND DID SO FOR THE FIRST THREE YEARS OF THEIR LIVES. MADAME ALEXANDER MADE THIS DOLL AS WELL AS A DR. DAFOE DOLL TO ACCOMPANY THE DIONNE QUINTUPLETS SET. SHE WAS CRAFTED WITH A 1935 BETTY FACE AND SHE STANDS 13 TALL. SHE IS ALL COMPOSITION WITH A JOINTED BODY AT THE NECK, SHOULDERS, AND HIPS. SHE HAS SLEEP EYES AND A MOHAIR WIG. This is a very rare what I believe is an Alexander-kins doll by Madame Alexander made in 1953 or 1954. The outfit is an original Madame Alexander angel outfit.. See attached photo from catalog. The doll may not be an Alexander Kin’s doll but may be a Wendy-Kins doll. Her eyes open and close when you put her down but she doesn’t seem like a walker because when I move the limbs her head doesn’t move. So this is where it is throwing me off. If you have any information regarding the exact type of doll that would be helpful. However I know that both the outfit and the doll are rare.
