This sweet doll is a Texas Hurricane Harvey survivor! She came to me in her original outfit, with her original dress and panties, hat and socks and shoes. Her original shoes were very worn and in poor condition so I have replaced them with new pink side snap shoes. I have also added a pink satin ribbon at her waist to match her outfit. This is a gorgeous RARE brunette Big Binnie Winnie Walker by Madame Alexander, in her original outfit. Her cotton panties are full at the hip and snap at the waist, and have gathered ruffles at the leg; her cotton slip is a dress slip, full length under her dress and has lovely lace trim. NOTE: When I got her, her hat had many small moth holes in it from being in her prior owner’s storage. I turned her hat inside out, as the pink had faded; and carefully hand-stitched vintage velvet fabric flowers to her hat — everywhere she had a moth hole. This is her original hat from the Madame Alexander outfit, with its original black fabric ties; but I simply added very vintage cotton and velvet forget me not and other flowers to it to match her dress. See photos for how it looks now. I think it turned out quite nice. This doll has a gorgeous face, with her original dark brunette wig, with curls in their original set under her bonnet or hat. She has big blue green eyes, red lips, rosy cheeks and a sweet upturned nose. Her coloring is quite even, with exception of her right arm which is slightly lighter in color than her left. It is not obvious though as you can see in the photos. I have added black fingerless, hand crocheted gloves to her outfit; these gloves were made for me in Canada by a very talented seamstress. They fasten at the wrist with tiny pearls and fit her perfectly. This is a very old “Walker Doll” but her walker mechanism works just fine; when you move her legs her head turns from side to side. No props in the photos are included; the doll stand is not included. My home is SMOKE FREE and PET FREE. A fabulous, high color doll wearing her original tagged, crispy mint, complete Southern Belle outfit. Brunette hair still in the factory style set. Brown sleep eyes that work nicely. She is strung just right, knees bend nicely and walker mechanism functions well. Crispy gown has 2 tiny pin holes on top layer front, which look as though someone used a straight pin. Other than that, no stains, holes or discoloring. Hat and purse look to never have been off the doll. Also included are her 2 strand faux crystal necklace, full slip, bloomers, rayon socks and side snap shoes with fuzzy soles. Even has her Alexander stand. They don’t get much nicer than this! Thanks for stopping by! Beautiful all original dressed 17″-18″ Vintage Madame Alexander Maggie Walker doll! Odors- I do not detect any strong offensive odors. Stringing- Her arms are tight and hold poses with a new band. Her legs are a little loose but her walker works good. Head – Clean, no stains or major marks. There is a little faint glue residual glue at right edge of wig if you pull her hair back. Hair – Hair is clean, thick and in original set with a few fly aways. She has her original red ribbons and hair pins in place. Makeup/Paint – Lips are red and original. Cheeks are bright and original. Eyes – Eyes are clear, clean and a very pretty blue. They open and close easily. Eyelashes are full thick and straight. Body- and limbs are clean and free of stains, no cracks to seams, minimal scuffing and play wear. Clothing She wears her original clothing that is pictured in her booklet. Dress is taggged Maggie Walker, coat is tagged Madame Alexander. All seams and snaps intact. No holes or tears. There are no stains. Taffeta dress is clean, color even and bright, fabric is crisp/stiff. Cuffs and collar are probably a tad off white. Rhinestone buttons intact, nice button holes. Full slip is clean, no damage. There is one snap missing at waist, Matching panties are clean and nice. Both have good fabric sizing. There are a couple faint spots of fading to outer shell if you look closely. Red lining is clean and bright with even color. Seams and buttons intact. Hard to find red velvet beret/tam hat is clean, lovely color. I don’t see any wear to velvet. Elastic band still has good elasticity. Socks are clean but do have some light age yellowing. Black shoes are excellent, no damage. Her curler box is complete with curlers, no major damage She comes with her original wrist hang tag that still has original string, very nice condition, I don’t see any damage. Here is a near flawless Madame. Alexander hard plastic walker doll. She is in the “Glamour Girl”. Group and she is called. She has a “Maggie” face. She is completely original.
