This doll is in good condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. The hair is silky with some flyway’s. The dress is nice but does have a couple small tears and repairs to the outer layer. The dress has the Alexander tag attached to the back of the neck. The dolls head is loose. The arms move as should. The doll has original thigh high pantyhose as well as shoes and slip underpants. The hat is a hard straw with lace. The eyes of the doll open and close as should. Some of the eyelashes of the doll are missing. The eyes are slightly foggy. This lovely Madame Alexander needs some TLC. She has a small nose rub and her lips need touching up. There is a little rough part on the side oh her head just above the neck. Her tags were falling apart so someone had a very inventive way of saving them! She needs a general clean. As do her clothes. She is missing her socks and shoes. Here I have a beautiful 20 inch Madame Alexander Maggie Polly Pigtails Walker doll in very nice condition. She has no breaks or cracks and no odors. Her walking mechanism works fine. 18 VINTAGE MADAME ALEXANDER QUEEN ELIZABETH MARGARET FACE WALKER DOLL. Up for sale is an 18 vintage Madame Alexander Queen Elizabeth Margaret face walker doll. Her gown and hair are gorgeous. Her face is as well. I do not know if any of the jewelry is original or not. She does not have a crown. The walking mechanism is in working order. The sash is pale blue. I make no claim that she is “mint”—SHE IS NOT MINT—SHE DOES HAVE SOME SIGNS OF “AGE” as mentioned earlier, repairing her by filling cracks and reinforcing the stress point at her knee and across her bottom. She also has a few small marks (like little dots) on her arms between her gloves and sweater, and minimal “rubs” at hip joints, with a few tiny “nicks” on legs—she has ORIGINAL PINK KNEES! As far as I can tell her dress has not been washed—the fabric appears to have original patina and texture and fits well but not tight—this fabric will shrink with washing as it is 100% cotton. She has been on display in my SMOKE FREE, PET FREE DOLL ROOM protected from sunlight & temperature extremes. I can send you additional photos upon request. This doll is not photographed but is described in detail on page 117 of the book MADAME ALEXANDER COLLECTOR’S DOLLS by Patricia Smith, under the paragraph “Binnie Walker”. She is listed as being 25″ tall—the doll is 24″—her original white cotton jersey stocking cap would have made her 25 tall, it is not included. She came to me without her original hat and sweater.
