A lovely redhead, this Maggie Mixup Alexander-kins bent knee walker doll has been in our family for many years as a member of a special aunt’s collection of treasured dolls. We are now finding homes for Ruth’s special dolls where they will be loved and cared for. Ruth now resides in a special memory care unit, and her precious dolls are now a great part of providing the unique care she needs. This little Maggie Mixup has always been stored in her box. Her hard plastic body of So-Lite plastic is eight inches tall and is jointed at the neck, shoulders, hips and knees. Her head turns as her legs move in a “walking” motion. Maggie’s pretty red saran hair is in the original set… Shoulder-length, straight, with bangs in front. Her hair is slightly flattened in the back from storage positioning. Her clear blue sleep eyes work properly, and her facial coloring is perfect. Noted was information that later dolls as Alexander-kins of the same face and name had different color eyes. Maggie’s clothing has never been removed. She is wearing a floral striped white dotted swiss dress with yellow flowers and green leaves. The sleeveless dress has a scooped neckline and is gathered at the waist. Green ric rac trims the neckline, armholes and hem of the dress, and he dress closes at the back bodice with two small snaps. A green satin ribbon accents the waist and ties in a bow in the back. Her panties match her dress and have an elastic waist and elastic legs. Short white knit socks, black velvet ankle strap Mary Janes, and a white wide-brimmed straw hat with yellow velvet flowers and green leaves complete Maggie’s ensemble. On the dress tag… Alexander-kins by Madame Alexander REG. Her Madame Alexander wrist tag was attached to her right wrist with a piece of light green ribbon. The hole on the back flap of the tag is torn, and the tag was positioned to hang. You can see this in the photos. I do not want to tear the hole any further making it impossible for you to reattach it. The label on the end of the box notes MAGGIE MIXUP 500 and has curled-up corners. There is a second label under this Maggie Mixup label. Under one corner I can read Little. I feel confident that this addition of a second label happened within Madame Alexander facilities.
