Madame Alexander 14 Rosamund Bridesmaid from 1951 wears a soft flowing gown of two layers of pink netting that is trimmed with pink roses and pale blue satin ribbon. Her hair is strawberry blonde and is topped with a green and pink straw bandeau hat with bunches of roses and ribbon. A bunch of sweetheart roses at the waist, hose, slip and pink satin slippers, all original, complete her outfit. Rosy cheeks and hair perfectly coifed. She is in excellent condition for her 65 years. She has been stored away, so the dress is a bit wrinkled at the hem, but there are no holes in the delicate netting that I can find. She comes with her box, although the lid is missing one side and is not in as good shape as the box bottom. This is a lovely vintage Madame Alexander Alexanderkins from the 1950′s. She is the heavier plastic version with the clear grey eyelashes. She is wearing a tagged gold cotton dress with matching undies, a black flowered pinafore, natural straw hat, rayon socks and black sueded shoes with flocked fuzzy bottoms. She has dark blonde triple stitched wig and blue sleep eyes that work perfectly. She retains her original stringing… A tiny bit loose, but not bad. She will hold a pose. Her undies elastic is stretched out a bit. I did not want to replace it or run a thread to tighten it. The undies still stay up. Her socks are also stretched out at the top somewhat, but again, I left them alone. The bottom of one shoe has some fuzzy flocking missing along the edges… There are also a couple of nicks out of the edge of her hat… She really is a nice doll! Smoke and pet free home. This 20″ Cissy is style #2094 from the 1955 collection of Madame Alexander dolls called “A Child’s Dream Comes True. ” She is described in the catalogue as wearing “a breathtaking gown of heavy champagne slipper satin. Her muff of matching nylon tulle is decorated with ruby red roses. Her necklace and earrings of rhinestones and topaz. Beneath the gown, she has a champagne yellow hoop petticoat and matching panties and hose. This doll is hard to find, and in particular to find her with necklace and muff! Her hair and coloring are excellent, and I think there are remnants of the original hair net in her hair. While she displays beautifully, she has some flaws which I want to point out. In very good condition, she is missing her shoes and earrings. Her gown has a few small, almost imperceptible smudges and at least one pin hole which I tried to capture in the photo. I do not see a tag in her dress and her petticoat elastic appears a little stretched. She also has some dirt on her arms and a bit of residue or dirt on her neck where her head attaches (see photo). Not very noticeable but I want to describe as much as I can. She would be the perfect candidate for a Cissy spa that several of our talented MADC members offer! I have added many photos, but will take more if there is something that you would like to see. I would like her to find a new home, and in this case, prefer not to take her back, so offer her without return, unless I have grossly misrepresented her. This stunning CISSY is 21 tall and was presented at the 2009 MADC Convention. Her dress has unusual details with sequins, beads and floral appliqués embroidered on airy fabric which I photographed for you to see. I also took a side angle photo of her head to display her elegant hair style, although she is wearing a hairnet here. She is also wearing pearls which are tied securely in place here, but would look more elegant, were she free of the ties and tissue. Cissy always likes to cook her best… But I over-ruled her in this case! I took many photographs, but if something is not clear, please feel free to ask questions. Absolutely gorgeous Cissy doll. Appears to be unplayed with. Hair is very very nice. Jointed at neck, arms, elbows, legs and knees. Has a pearl necklace and bracelet. Black high heel shoes. Lace undergarment, one piece. Has a small mark on one cheek. Sleep eyes are stiff and stick sometimes.
