24 Madame Alexander 30′s-40′s era DOLL. She is not marked. However, Her dress and her coat set are both tagged. Dress has attached long leg panties, lace trim and ties in the back. Coat and hat are matching. The dress is in decent shape. Not perfect but displays nicely and the snaps are intact. The coat set looks to have been cleaned at some point and has some wear spots. A couple stitches given here and there. Original oilcloth shoes are intact but show wear. This girl doll is so… I have done a few light things to her. On her leg a split in the compo has been stabilized (white Glue) Her Coloring is vibrant and beautiful. No missing fingers or toes. She had a little rub on her nose that I touched up and I fixed her blown eyes. Looks like a old repair in the cloth body at the arm? But for the most part I left her alone. She has a good blonde Human hair wig in nice shape. I suspect it’s been under the hat all these years. Please look at all the pictures. There are good & clear close-ups. This beautiful rare vintage doll is Karen Ballerina, made by The Madame Alexander Doll Company, N. This is a hard plastic doll with a “Maggie” face that stands 14 inches (35.5cm) tall. She is a five-part doll and strung well enough to hold a pose and stand on her own. She is all original. Karen is wearing her original ballet costume in light blue. The bodice of the dress is blue satin, trimmed with metallic gold ricrac. The butterfly sleeves are two layers of gathered tulle, each trimmed with gold ricrac. There is a beautiful blue satin bow at each shoulder. The mid-length full skirt of the ballet costume is three layers of light blue tulle also trimmed with metallic gold ricrac. At her waist is a bouquet of pink velvet flowers, buds and leaf. Karen wears an elegant black velvet ribbon choker tied in a bow. There are black velvet ribbons tied in bows at both wrists. Her gorgeous strawberry blond hair is in perfect condition. It is styled in braids wound’round her head and at coils over her ears. There are four pink and blue cabbage roses adorning her hair, two on either side. Her ruffled light blue silk panties tie at the back with a satin bow. Her pink silk ballet slippers tie with pink satin ribbons wrapped around her ankles and tied with pretty bows in front. The back of the dress fastens with t three square snaps. The original label reads Ballerina, Madame Alexander N. KAREN is a collectors dream come true. She is an exquisite doll with a sweet “Margaret” face expression. She comes with her First Prize blue ribbon. This exquisite doll and costume are in excellent condition with the exception of several miniscule barely visible flaws depicted in pictures 10 and 11.
