Madame Alexander Dolls

Vintage 1957 Madame Alexander Bent knee Cissette Doll. #900 in original box with Cissette Brochure. In my opinion I would say she is as close to unplayed with/mint as you are likely to find. She has obviously been well cared for. That said, let me introduce you to. She is dressed in a tagged lace Chemise, Stockings and High Heels. I measured her height to be 9 1/2 top of her head to the bottom of her heals. Her auburn hair is in the original style with curls and attached pink bow. Her face is beautiful with exceptional coloring and blue eyes. Lace chemise is in excellent condition free of tears or stains with crispy unfrayed tag. Her stockings are free of any damage as are her plastic silver high heels. Her body is clean and undamaged with original coloring (no fading). Her stringing is tight and will hold position when posed. All the elastic on chemise and high heels is unstretched. Her box is in excellent condition free of any broken corners, or marks. The box even has some of the original pink tissue paper lining, included is the original cardboard neck brace. This doll is ready to be prominately displayed in any serious collector’s collection. Scarlett O’Hara “Southern Belle”. 14 inch Madame Alexander composition Wendy Ann face. With lovely blue open close eyes which work beautifully. Her wig is original soft mohair like. She is made of composition which is crazing and chipping. Mostly at the shoulders and neck. She will need repair. Neck is marked ALEXANDER – Her body is not loose. My Aunt has her tagged. (Not sure which book I can’t locate it in any that I have) The dress is tagged. “Madame Alexander New York USA” it is in vintage condition. All of the lace is in tact. Snaps are all still sewn on. The blue plaid has faded in the front. There are a few marks on the back but no tears or holes. The plaid ribbons are crisp and bright. The metal hoop in the skirt is bent in a few placed. She wears her original pantaloons. The socks and shoes may have been replaced, not sure. Look at the pics and decide for yourself. The hat is straw with the famous Alexander fabric flowers. She also wears flower corsages on her wrists. READ and LOOK at the pictures. I welcome any questions, do not make any assumptions.
