This extraordinary black net gown with its ruched bodice and pleated straps, boasts a gorgeous triple-toned brooch. It gives way to a very full skirt embroidered with dainty light pink & ivory flowers & leaves. The scalloped hemline and matching stole are such a beautiful “finish” to a most stunning ensemble! Underneath Cissy wears a slip almost as extraordinary as her dress; made with black lace-lined satin & pink ribbon-trimmed tulle, it’s absolutely gorgeous! Matching black panties, vintage hosiery & original Cissy black sandals make “the look” complete. Finally, Cissy accents with gold & pink rhinestone earrings, a pink rhinestone bracelet & a faux “diamond” ring, and she carries vintage black gloves & a matching lucite purse with a gold strap. This Cissy is soft, elegant & absolutely gorgeous. Her features & coloring are beautiful and her blush has been lightly refreshed. For your consideration a lovely, very well cared for Madame Alexander Little Lady, She comes in her original window box, which is in very good condition as you can see by the pictures. It also contains its original colognes which with the passing of time have evaporated. The doll as well as the box are clean, free from dust or foreign substances. There is a small pinkish rubbing on the shadow box above her left side of her head. It may have been cause by a discoloration of her head ribbon. Her eyes, at times, are slow to open. Cissy is clean and has no odors, stains, splits or cracks or repairs to such. She has been newly restrung to head and arms. She has nice arms with no rips in the socket area or issues with her fingers. Her hair has been cleaned and reset. Her original wig is full and shiny with no cuts or trims. Her lips have been repainted and blush was added. A matte protective finish was applied to her face. She has no earring holes. She has beautiful blue eyes. Both eyes have had some lash fill in. She stands and posses fine. Right leg is a little loose at the hip, but it is attached inside of body and is not swingy. Just a lovely girl! Cissy is wearing a reproduction black cocktail dress. It is made from new, lovely black silk taffeta. The bodice is lined with black organdy. The skirt is 8″ long with a 2″ hand stitched hem. The waist is serged. The skirt is a full 65 circle when laid out. There are 5 original black square snaps going down the back and the front is adorned with an original gold brooch. Under her dress she wears her original pink can can slip with pink rick rack trim. Also her original panties. Both slip and panties have been hand laundered and new elastic inserted at the waist. She wears her original nylons in very nice condition, silver diamond studded bracelet, and diamond ring. She has a replacement hang tag and a new lucite purse made in the original fashion with black velvet straps and flower adornment. Inside the purse is a vintage plastic lipstick and a metal can of rouge. Stand and chair are not included. This listing will end on Sunday, August 18th. We offer for your consideration a gently displayed 17 Madame Alexander Margaret doll with a lovely even color and complexion. She is from the 1950s and appears close to factory fresh and very displayable. Her nicely blushed cheeks and full lovely lips are stunning. Her arms are nicely connected, strong and tight for her head and legs, so she can hold a pose beautifully for display. Her arms do not hold a pose. Her hair is in incredible condition and set in the loveliest style. Her dark lower lashes highlight her eyes perfectly. –This doll was made to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth. Queen Elizabeth Margaret face was only made in 1953 and 1954. I believe this is the 1954 version. She does have the minor unnoticeable rub at the end of her nose. The hoop in her skirt could be reshaped to form a proper circle. The hoop itself feels complete, and it appears free of free on the fabric. —Her coloration is even and true on her face, torso, arms, and legs. Please take note of her stunning unclouded eyes with full intact molded eyelashes that fringe her eyes. Plus, she has the blushed color eyelids for a real striking appearance. Her eyebrows are unfaded. Her beautiful hair is full and even with no thinning or missing areas. I see a little fleck of missing color on the tip of her nose, which could be easily remedied. — —-This doll is one of hundreds of dolls we bought from an adult lady collector downsizing her estate. Please note, she is as close to factory fresh as you can find for an almost 70 year-old doll. Her coloring is even, beautifully blushed, and her color is unfaded. Her lips are bright and full. She is brought to you by a pet and smoke free home, and she is free of odors or issues. —She is wearing her stunning, and close to immaculate, tagged Madame Alexander taffetta brocade incredible dress trimmed with the pristine blue sash. You can see the tiny hole in the back of the dress, but it really is lost in the folds of the dress when her dress is naturally displayed. I stretched the dress fabric to give you a perfect view. Her bright white gloves are lovely. Her very intact clean hoop skirt with well attached snap buttons is attached to the pretty panties. Her pantyhose are free of damage. Her center snap button shoes are close to original color and condition with only one little dot, stain, on the outside of the right shoe. –The bright, unfaded, and sparkling accents of the rhinestone at her bodice and waist are perfect. Her matching necklace and earrings are intact and undamaged. Her bracelet is intact. —She is intact and complete. She is beautiful and free of issues. —-She was only rarely removed from her showcase by the original adult collector. The doll was stored in a cool dark room in her pet and smoke free house. Her tagged dress is fresh and crisp with no major detracting noticeable major sign of age related, or sun, discoloration. I feel the photographs portray her well. The fabric on the dress, panties, and slip are all clean, bright, and very displayable. —-Her hair is full with no missing or thinning areas. It is very true to the original style. The color of her hair is stunning. —She shows no age or discoloration. She does not show any marks, or rubs of missing color on her fingers, legs, or body. Her legs walk nicely and smoothly as they should. Her right leg strides big steps; however, her left leg only takes small steps. —Her coloration is much more bright and blushed than she appears in her photos. Vintage 1950s Madame Alexander 20 Cissy Doll Blond in Tagged Queen Costume. Pretty Nineteen-fifties Madame Alexander 20 Teenage Cissy doll in an original costume. Cissy is made of hard plastic with vinyl arms. She is jointed at the neck, shoulders, hips and knees. She is strung tight so she can hold a pose. Her knees and hips bend easily. She has pierced ears. Her elbows are not jointed. She has working clear yellow and blue sleep eyes with thick lashes, light painted lower lashes, single stroke eyebrows, tiny amounts of upper eye shadow, pouty lips, lightly blushed cheeks and no body blush. Her queen costume is in good condition and includes the gold brocade gown with medals and blue satin sash, one glove, a bracelet, very full, layered petticoat, hosiery, white elastic heels. Missing her other glove and panties. On the back of her head, Cissy tag inside the gown. I have been told – doll has a “musty” smell. I have a very poor sense of smell – so I don’t smell it. Cissy is in fair, played with condition. This doll has some flaws: eyes are turning yellow from blue, some lashes missing in the center and skin tone is blotchy. Her good points are that she appears to be substantially original because I found other dolls on line, dressed in the Queen costume who also had pierced ears and arms without bending elbows. Her other good point is that her legs pose and bend easily – rare – legs are usually stiff. However, one knee is swingy and does not lock in place – the other knee does lock. Er eyebrows look like they might possibly be re-painted – just not sure. Wig is thick, in original set with a lot of fly-aways, ends are frizzy and wig fabric is showing under the pony tail. Perfect fingers and toes. But no blush on the backs of the hands or knees. Skin tone is clean but blotchy and not even toned. Her arms and head are darker and her torso is lighter than the rest of her. Arms are firmly attached and pose well. Head is firmly attached, sits upright and poses well. Hard plastic body is clean and free of chips, chews or deep scratches. No crotch split, one repaired knee crack and one small 1/4 hip crack. Knee and hip joints bend nicely. Costume is in fair to good condition. Gown closes with working square snaps and has a “wear tear” at the base of the V of the neckline. It also has a seam rip on one side of the bodice that does not go through to the lining – so it is hard to see. One glove is missing. Elastics on bracelet and shoes are stretched out.
