This is a very scarce & limited 1967 issue. She is wearing a nice 2 piece light blue tweed suit wit hot pink scarf & headband. Her hair maintains its original shape & styling. She comes with her box, catseye glasses with green lenses, red purse, camera, and the original tag – all still attached to her wrist. The only mystery she will be solving is why you haven’t already bought & paid for her! Marks : Madame Alexander – Nancy Drew – 1264 – box shows dress checked is green (see photo) but she is dressed in light blue. The only thing which may be an issue is that her legs are not tightly strung, but that may be as produced. I don’t know because I have never had the opportunity to examine another one. They are still in sockets. Unless specifically stated as new or unused, m. Any of our items are pre-loved pieces moving on to new homes. When do you ever see an ORIGINAL Madame Alexander Joanie Nurse Playpal Size Doll IN THE BOX with all the packing materials tissue, and hang tag? This is a super rare doll, and was made only in 1959 (She is dated on her neck). Comes from an old estate collection. We like to disclose everything so that nobody is disappointed. The first two issues are with the dress. (See last three pics) There is one tiny spot on the front circled in the pic. Not sure what it is… Looks almost tan in color up close. The second dress issue is on the back right side. The material in that section of the dress has discolored over time. It does not look like a stain, more like that section or panel of material was from a different lot, and aged differently than the other parts of the dress. That section just has a slightly less white tone to it. That section does not show when she is displayed in her box. The third issue is that the glue around the soul of her left shoe has darkened a bit with age, and it looks like a line around the joint of the soul to the upper shoe as can be seen in the picture. Again it is not terribly ugly, we just want to mention everything we have noticed to be honest and fair. We have handled her very little, so as not to disturb her. She even still has the packing tissue inside her hat! She really is AMAZING!!!! Here is my high-color, red-haired Madame Alexander CISSY, from the early 1960′s. She stands 20 inches tall and has green eyes with full lashes. Her sleep eyes open and close. She is fully poseable, with jointed elbows and knees, and does NOT need to be restrung. She does not have any cracks, and only one pink “freckle” on the back of her left leg could be considered a stain. She has minor areas where skin color has been rubbed off. These are on the left side of her neck and at the top inside of both thighs. She was obviously some little girl’s favorite toy. But all in all she is in great shape for her 60+ years! She is being offered for sale with her tagged teddy, one pair of panties, one crinoline, two handmade dresses (one red plaid taffeta which I put her in at Christmas, and one mint green fabric which reminds me of “dotted swiss”), the gold high-heeled sandals, and the pearl necklace, all seen in the photos. Note: only the nude-colored teddy is vintage and tagged Cissy. The clothing is in like-new condition. Cissy is festive as can be dressed in her outfit known as “Ripples of Rhythm” or “Yellow Cameo”. It has bright coloring and original cameo and black grossgrain tie. Hat is VHTF and the yellow velvet roses set the dress off perfectly. Doll wears original hose, new jewelry, new shoes and carries a custom hatbox. Original slip and panties– these are a bit on the limp side. Cissy herself is made of infused plastic. She has no hip splits or knee splits. At the top of her neck you can see the seam in the plastic. I don’t consider this a split.. It is more of a dirt line from her 60 year life. Her head has been restrung. Her eyes look good.
