Rare 1951 Rosamund Variation. An enchantingly beautiful doll, this 1951 vintage Maggie is so very special… She’s not your “every day Maggie, ” but rather the Maggie variation of the Rosamund Bridesmaid. Rosamunds were the shorter 14 size, and an overwhelming number were produced with blonde hair. This beauty is the far more elusive 18 size, and is the only variation with the ribbon-trimmed. Tulle gown and the beautiful green straw bandeau-style. Headpiece, decorated on each side with cabbage roses. Last but never least, this is the very rare brunette! Maggie is an exquisite and very-near-mint doll, shy of “mint” for 2 reasons – one tiny 1/4 hole in the pink tulle skirt at back left, and one small slit in the tulle at the hem back center. Neither of these small imperfections can be seen when she’s on display due to the fullness of her. Gown, and both are very difficult to locate. I obtained this Maggie from the original owner. She spent 95% of her life stored safely and carefully in a box, which is why she’s near flawless and the tulle of her gown. Retains its original stiffness. The gown closes at the back with. Square snaps, and the. Satin bodice has two wide tulle straps and is also trimmed with tulle. The perfect tag is bright white with embroidered blue lettering, showing no sign of age. Outer layer of the tulle skirt is. At the hemline with pink satin ribbon, and the underskirting. Of both an attached second layer of tulle and a third layer of light pink satin. All of the floral bouquets are perfect and literally appear brand new… It’s truly quite amazing! This gown shows no soiling of any kind, anywhere. Underneath Maggie is wearing the original matching pink satin lace-trimmed panties, original thigh high hosiery and original satin shoes with pink center snaps. She carries a vintage white & gold Madame Alexander hatbox. A gorgeous and very rare brunette, Maggie’s features &. Coloring are stunning and 100% original. Her beautiful brunette floss wig falls just below shoulder length in soft curls. She has beautiful clear blue eyes with full lashes, and no splits, cracks or odors. This Madame Alexander Armed Forces Military doll was made in 1942. She represents our women serving in the Army. She is all original, 14 tall, all composition and having the Wendy Ann face. The composition is wonderful. I only see that one hairline crack on the left side of her face. She has bright blue clear eyes that sleep well. She has all her original mohair lashes, smokey eye shadow and soft pale brows. Her red mohair wig still retains the original set, just a bit messy. She is well strung and holds a pose. Wearing her original military uniform consisting of a dress with dark green shirt and tie and attached brown skirt with self fabric belt. Underneath she wears her panties and her nylon stockings with the seam down the back. Her brown jacket has military buttons and is labeled. She also has her army hat with gold eagle and brown leather tie shoes. Please view all photos, as they are an important part of the description. Vintage Madame Alexander Wendy Ann 14 Doll! She is all composition. Some peeling/crazing is present; unsure if was repainted. Her wig original mohair and is glued to her head. Her face paint is beautifully preserved; rosebud lips. Sleepy eyes mechanism is working. Real upper lashes are all intact. Marked on her neck – Alexander. Wendy Ann comes with beautiful bridal gown, veil, panties and silver sandals. Sandals are a little bit loose. Not sure if her outfit is original but is definitely vintage. This vintage Cissy doll is a very pretty girl, with her lovely brunette hair in its original set, full-lashed eyes, original red lips, and professionally-refreshed makeup. She is tight enough to hold a pose. She is odor free and clean. She has had her arms restrung, and two small high leg splits repaired and repainted. She has some marks on one arm, some rubs where her thighs meet the torso, not unusual in these painted dolls, some paint rubbed off her heels. There are a few small scratches on her bum and upper back. I only noticed when taking these pictures that she has a small rub on one cheek. You can see it in the close-up of the left cheek, but it isnt noticeable when the doll is on display or from a normal, arms- length distance. Her blue-green eyes open and close, but she prefers to be sleepy and she may need a shake to open her eyes fully. She stands well and sits well, her legs are nice and tight as are her knees. She will come in her stretchy chemise. The other items pictured as props are not included, such as the doll furniture, backdrops, etc. The sale is for the doll, only! She comes from a smoke -free home, but we do have cats (who have no interest in dolls whatsoever). I dont know her history before I bought her.
