Beautiful Cissy in her undies ready to dress… I try to note everything – all positives and negatives – so you can make an informed purchasing decision. I know you cannot examine her for yourself, and while I do not claim to be an expert, I will carefully note everything to the best of my knowledge and ability. I believe this doll is what is known as an infused Cissy which prevents her vinyl from losing color over time. Her body coloring is very fresh and healthy all over. The photos washed out how fresh and peachy she is. I do not know for certain if she is infused, that is just my best guess due to how beautiful her coloring is all over. Take this with a grain if salt, and if you know more in this area, please see the photos and examine her carefully. Beautiful clear eyes, open and close easily. They need to be replaced. I just dont have time. No cracks, splits, discoloration, mold, mildew, odors, etc. Her tagged chemise is in wonderful crispy condition. Her nylons have aged a little and have a small hole near the top of one. Her pretty shoes shoes are in great condition but the elastic has stretched some. Her golden Saran wig is in close to its original set. I believe that is a replaced hair ribbon. This is a beautiful doll in beautiful overall condition! With some new lashes, shell be perfect! Wig – her wig looks just fine, just needs some combing and possible resetting. Head – its split at the seam on one side all the way up, and there is a split starting at the bottom of the other side of her head at the seam. Eyes – clear, open and shut, full lashes, look slightly off, one eye is droopy. Hips – one hip has a repaired seam split. Cheeks – cheek rubs. Backs of hands – color is rubbed. Body – coloring is even all over. Knees – blushed evenly. This is a TLC doll, and I have tried to note what you want and need to know about her. 13″ Vintage Madame Alexander HP “Rosamund Bridesmaid Doll – 1951. This beautiful, hard to find, (most likely) never played with, hard plastic doll is Madame Alexander’s Rosamund Bridesmaid. ” She was made in 1951 only and is 13″ tall. She has a Maggie/Margaret face and is a walker. Her head turns as you move her legs. Her dress is 2 layers of pink netting – top is tulle, over a layer which is a little heavier than tulle, all over pink taffeta. The bodice is pink tulle over pink taffeta with cap sleeves and a ruffled sweetheart neckline. There is a small bunch of pink flowers at her waist. On her head is a wide band, that has a bunch of pink flowers on each side. Rosamund has pink satin panties, nylon stockings and center snap silk shoes. Her blonde hair is in excellent condition. I see a couple of bobby pins in the back of her hair. She is all original. No markings, which is not unusual for an Alexander doll in this era. Her face is beautiful. I see a small mark on each side of her face near her eyebrows. I see no rubs to her cheeks. Her cheeks are high color, and blue eyes with long dark lashes. Her name was inspired by the book entitled ROSAMUND by Maria Edgeworth. No box, no tags. She appears to never been undressed so I will sell her this way. Her dress is in excellent crisp condition without holes or rips in the netting or material. The pink slip has some light discoloration in a some spots and the bottom could be steamed. I will let the new owner do that if it’s necessary. She displays beautifully as is. I’ve not washed her face or arms. I will be happy to send additional photos and or answer questions. Here is an early painted Madame Alexander Cissy doll dressed in a very striking display outfit. Cissy is 20 inches tall and has joints at the head, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. She is all hard plastic except for her vinyl arms. She is in good vintage condition with joints working well. She has small splits at the top of each leg where it goes into the torso. I have pictured one of the splits, but ran out of photo room to post a picture of the other. It is approximately the same size, but a picture can be furnished upon request. Cissy has blue-green sleep eyes and all of her brush and painted lashes. Eyes open and close well. Her original cheek color has faded. Her head will bob a little when moved around, but seems stable enough to me. She probably has her original headband. Her dark blonde wig is still in the factory set/style, but has a little weakness in the center seam. Back when I first got her, I started to gently comb through the wig and immediately pulled out a strand of hair. I pinned it back with a hairpin and never attempted anything else with it. The curls are nice, though. Cissy’s dress is custom made and with very nice detail. The fabric is a 1950s fabric that is identical to the fabric that was used in the dresses for the Maggie dolls. Those were pink and blue, and this is a silvery-gray. The pattern is raised when brand new and unwashed. I have shown a picture of this fabric and the pink fabric for verification. The dress is constructed with a lace-trimmed sweetheart neckline and banded puff sleeves. Three pearls decorate the fitted bodice. A red grosgrain ribbon is looped through two small mother-of-pearl buckles and ties in a bow in the back. The gathered skirt is full and flirty. Such an awesome little dress. Underneath is a vintage white taffeta slip with net ruffles trimmed in red rickrack on the outside and inside. Good elastic in the waist. She wears white taffeta Cissy panties and seamed stockings, which, I believe, are original. The panties may have some light spots on them. I will check in the morning when there is better light to make sure. Her shoes are red Cissy bases that have new elastic to go with the rest of her outfit. Her hat is an original Cissy hat that has had the damaged white horsehair braid removed. The brim is wired and can be shaped. The lily-of-the-valley flowers are in great shape, and I added a little vintage sprig to cover the stems. It is just stuck in there and can be easily removed if desired. There is a gold headband with good stretch that is inside the crown of the hat. Accessories include a vintage red and white plastic tote, pearl necklace with box clasp, vintage watch with red band and a newer pearl ring. The doll is a pretty display doll as she is. The addition of some cheek color would really enhance her. Cissy comes from a smoke-free home and is being offered to USA BUYERS LOWER 48 ONLY. This listing is for a vintage. 1950s Madame Alexander LITTLE WOMEN AMY doll loop curls original fabric tag on back of dress at the neck. The doll is approx 14 tall. I think it may say “alex” on the back of her head? The Amy doll is in very good vintage condition with the light wear and patina you would expect in an item of this vintage. There is a slight bit of discoloration on her petticoat – see photo # 4 at the bottom of the petticoat to the right of center. I’ve also read that some of these dolls can be rather loosely strung – I don’t know if that is the case with this doll or not – her head stays upright when you hold her still but if you move her around (I don’t have a doll stand) it has a tendency to drop forward a little bit. I don’t have a lot of experience with dolls so please let me know if you have any questions. Please see all 12 photos several of which are taken on a 1 ruler grid for relative size purposes. Vintage Rare Madam Alexander Doll Sweet Baby With Layette In Basket HTF New. Vintage was made 31 years ago. The first 5 pictures are from the Alexander catalog, as I didnt want to remove her from the box. Will include the catalog. Has never been out of the box not even for pictures. 1953 Strung 8 Brunette Alexander-Kin Bridesmaid High Color! She is so pretty! This doll is as-found wearing a near mint 1953 Bridesmaid dress but no hat or bouquet. She has blue eyes that open and close easily, full brows brows and a pouty mouth. She has wonderful rosy cheeks with no rubs. She has been re-strung and her body is clean with no stains, splits or repairs. The dress is tagged and she wears her correct long pantalets and a long Alexander-Kin half slip. I noticed that the lace is different on the slip and undies. Her shoes are very scuffed with fuzzy soles and sturdy snaps topped with correct rayon socks. If you are looking for a beautiful 1953 doll she is a stand out. No odors and from a non-smoking home. She has a satin tam hat draped with cascades of golden silk flowers and a matching muff. Cissy carries a vintage 1950′s. Suitcase with travel stickers, it opens and closes. The shoes are off-white.
