There are Some Faint Spots Throughout Wich are Mostly Pictured. Most of Them are in inconspicuous places Like The Lining. I Would guess These Small faint spots are Probably from Shelf Wear. Here is a VHTF Sun Dress for Cissy in NEAR MINT CONDITION!! These sun dresses are so difficult to come by and are so popular with collectors. 2 variations of Sun Dresses were made for Cissy using this fabulous fabric. It is a soft sateen cotton with a nice sheen. The color and size of the polka dots are a very iconic look for the mid-century. CONDITION: This dress is NEAR MINT. It has NEVER been laundered and it has not yellowed. The rick rack and bows retain their RED color and there is no bleeding to the dress. The faux buttons in the front are all present as well. The tag is nice and bright too. This the the exact dress that was photographed on page 62 of the Cissy! The only flaw I would like to point out is that the thread has faded on the shoulder bows. The coloring is nice and bright…. The close-up photos appear more washed out… I struggle with detail photos and retaining the vibrancy in the photos… The coloring is VIBRANT. Beautiful unplayed with Cissy in rare original outfit. Doll has beautiful coloring without any touch-ups and has all of her lashes. Dress has not been laundered although there are some lighter areas of the blue but it is hard to see. Hat is original and shows a bit of wear. Original shoes in good condition. She will come to you in her original outfit with exception of the “cross bow” hairpiece, her forehead jewel and her original gold tiara. Everything else in the original outfit is included — including the very, very RARE papier-mache jeweled and feathered turquoise Elephant Head and gold beaded green feather fan. Her outfit is comprised of a lovely multi-colored (burgundy, rose, peach) chiffon gown with told trim and jeweled accents, a voluminous rose lined blue ruffled cape with hook and eye fastener! And MA tag, gold and rhinestone jewelry (dangle earrings, cuff bracelets, choker necklace, hair decoration), brocade slacks and gold formal length gloves and gold shoes. Her body has a good balanced weight and she hold a pose well. She is photographed nude, balanced without a stand. Minor hip split high inside the cavity has been repaired. Note the staining on her torso. What’s interesting is that the dye transfer came from the thread used to stitch the gown, and not the velvet. No staining visible on dressed doll. This further verifies that the doll is original to the gown. FACE: I LOVE THIS DOLL!!! Some dolls speak to me and this girl has a lot to say!! Infused face from 1957. This girl has all her original features with blush having been slightly enhanced to even out fading to get matching cheeks.. Lovely doll with skin tone nicely complementing her blonde wig. No yellowing to original sealant. EYES: All original lashes. Eyes are a soft blue. WIG: blonde up-do with original hair ties on pullbacks and top of head. Replaced corded tie at nape of neck. She has the loveliest complexion with rosy beige undertones and velvety patina. DOLL: 1956 painted doll. Her body has a good heavy balanced weight and she hold a pose well. She was able to balance on her own for this photo shoot! CLOTHING: VHTF variation Dress is mint. It is made of a vibrant marine blue lightweight taffeta. Dress has not been washed or ironed. Sash is also mint with original flower. The coat has some yellowing, especially on the coin trim. The ivory satin also shows some foxxing. It should soak well in oxi, leaving up to new owner to decide. Coat may have been ironed. Replaced elastic in shoes. Can pose and balance unaided. No splits or cracks. FACE: What can I say??? I LOVE a factory finish on an early doll. The velvet finish is so warm snd inviting. Some photograph like a dream and she is one of those. She has been lightly wiped down to remove any dust. Her right cheek is original, left cheek very slightly airbrushed to match, sealed. Lips have had a satin overcoat. EYES: BLUE, yep, her eyes are still BLUE. Her eyes are clear… Not a drop of yellowing… All original eyebrows and painted underlashes. Her eyelashes are full. Replaced brush lashes on right eye, filled on left eye. Just FOUND her original white high heel, OSTRICH FEATHER shoes!! THey will be included with her now! Featured here is an adorable Limited Edition (of 500) vintage 2001 Cissy doll by Madame Alexander, Yardley Morning Ritual. This doll is number 484 and her number is inked on her lower back, on her tagged robe, and on the MA pink COA. She comes with her original hand tag as well. I do not have her original box. She is dressed in a sweet pink satin panty and bra set with back seamed pink shining hose, with a white terry cloth robe with belt that has a gold “MA” monogram sewn on the front of the robe. This is a gorgeous Cissy doll with the Yardley face — sweet full lips, rosy cheeks, grey radial eyes with dark brush lashes and painted brows. Her doll body features the twist waist which makes for wonderful posing. She has been displayed in my SMOKE FREE, PET FREE home in a darkened doll room and shows no sign of any sun fading. She has never been played with. I see no marks, stains on her body and her costume and accessories are lovely, as shown in the photos. She will come with her original tied bundle of doll size pastel washcloths and a full size bar of Yardley Rose soap!
