1957 Alexander-kin #401 in a tagged red dress with white lace trim. “Wendy Off to Play With a Friend”. Lovely, neat brunette flip hairdo. White straw hat with red flowers. Crinoline and panties appear original. Walking mechanism works well. Lace trim on dress has yellowed. I believe shoes and socks are replaced. Comes with custom stand. 1953 Strung 8 Brunette Alexander-Kin Bridesmaid High Color! She is so pretty! This doll is as-found wearing a near mint 1953 Bridesmaid dress but no hat or bouquet. She has blue eyes that open and close easily, full brows brows and a pouty mouth. She has wonderful rosy cheeks with no rubs. She has been re-strung and her body is clean with no stains, splits or repairs. The dress is tagged and she wears her correct long pantalets and a long Alexander-Kin half slip. I noticed that the lace is different on the slip and undies. Her shoes are very scuffed with fuzzy soles and sturdy snaps topped with correct rayon socks. If you are looking for a beautiful 1953 doll she is a stand out. No odors and from a non-smoking home. Vintage 1955 Alexander SLW Alexander-Kin In Wendy Trousseau Dress. On her feet she is wearing her sturdy black mary janes with fuzzy bottoms with some wear to the velvet on one shoe, and nylon socks. The panties are firm around her waist but I think that they have been tightened up. This sweet doll has bright blue eyes that open and close easily, triple stitch wig, distinct brows, rosy cheeks with no rubs and a pouty mouth. When you move her legs her head turns from side to side. No odors and stored in a non-smoking home.
