1961 Jacqueline Portrait Doll in White Satin Inaugural Ball Gown Coat by Ashton-Drake 2004. Jacqueline was only produced for one year upon request from the Kennedy family. She is a rather rare doll in the inaugural ball gown and very elegant and stunning. She is porcelain and about 20 tall. Comes with stand, all paperwork and in original box She is wearing her very clean tagged creamy white satin strapless inaugural ball gown trimmed with lace, matching full length designer style evening cape-coat with pearl frog and hook closure at the neckline graduated “pearl” necklace, snowflake shape pearl and rhinestone earrings and pearl evening bag. She has her red nail polish, beautiful pink blush to her cheeks, pink lips, Brown sleep eyes, blue eye shadow and eyelids, dark brown stroked brows and beautiful dark brunette hair. This beautiful lady was bought from her original owner this last summer. She said she was never allowed to play with it and the condition makes me believe that is true. The dress in NOT tagged, but fits well and is definitely made with attention to detail. There are applied sequins on the skirt, but one is missing on the shoulder. Her panty hose and shoes have seen better days. There are holes in the stockings and the straps are broken on the shoes. In the pictures though please notice the blush still rosy on her knees. She has on no underwear but the dress has built in slips. The truly remarkable part of this doll is her hair which is still in its original set. There are barrettes and the remnants of her original hair net. I found the flower head piece in the box with her, but it is in rough shape. It has some little stones in it similar to the dress so I thought it went with. Overall the facial coloring is just gorgeous. I hope the pictures do her justice and I hope someone wants to give her a new home for Christmas. A very kind e-bayer sent me the following information about her–She is #2097 from 1955, she is missing an ostrich fan as well as her undies! The flowers do go with the gown, she is also minus her necklace. Thank you for your interest. I will try to address your questions one at a time. There is a tiny “boo-boo” on the very end of her nose. It is about the size of a common pin head. Her dress is really pretty. The stone on the shoulder in the front is missing. Upon further examination, there appear to be some tiny stones at the seam lines on the front panel. There are no cracks, I checked her legs and body. There does appear to be a small dot of paint? On her lower left arm. I will try to add a picture of this to the description. I will see what I can do or message me and I will send it to you directly On her lashes, they all appear to be there I THINK. In the center of the left eye, there may be a couple of lashes missing? This item is in excellent, undisplayed condition. There are no stains or tears and is gorgeous! The doll is NOT for sale. This outstanding ensemble was made by an unknown seamstress. I cannot find a tag to give her/him credit. Hopefully they will see this and let me know so I can share with you. The dress is floor length. Please forgive my pitiful attempts at photographing this because I haven’t done it justice. It is beyonf description gorgeous! It has a dark lilac tulle over a lavender organdy dress with capped sleeves. There are two rhinestones over a tulle adornment on the neckline. Flowers grace the shoulders as well as a floral swag down the left side from the waist. A pink taffeta petticoat with a ruffled tulle that matches the dress is included. Beautiful doll, original gown, panties, hose, MA lavender shoes and faux pearl necklace. Her original earrings have some darkened rhinestones, but they are all there. I believe that her hair is in the original elaborate, tight set with the original velvet lavender bow. No splits in the doll body or legs. She is the strung doll and she is a little loose in her stringing. There are some splits shown in the photos in her fragile gown and her organdy petticoat. I included photos with my hand and without so you can see they easily disappear in the folds of the full tulle gown. Her facial color has darkened slightly. Beautiful false eyelashes over original brush lashes. Pretty clear blue eyes. She has the long slender one piece arms. The white petticoat and the stand shown are not included in this sale. She has her original lavender organdy petticoat. There are examples of this 1960 rare doll on page 21 of the book, The Cissy Files by Kiley Shaw. Her gown as two layers of very light organdy tulle that have faded slightly toward the bottom. The soft white and pink flowers are all intact. I package carefully and respectfully as she deserves so that her gown is not damaged and she arrives safely to you. She will be sent insured with signature required.
