The bride doll comes with her original dress, veil, panties, shoes, and socks. The veil has a hole near the top which you can see in the photos. The dress is in good condition, including the snaps. The panties have some bottom lace that has come undone on one leg (see photos). The shoes and socks appear to be in very good condition. I did not remove the shoes for fear of damaging them. The doll itself has a few issues that I will mention. The face paint is good, but there are some of the lines that happen with these composition dolls. The back of her head shows loss of hair and a hole at the top of her head. The veil pretty much covers these up. The rest of her body is good with no major damage. I did not take off the shoes to examine the feet. The limbs are attached and are not loose. Her bouquet shows its age. The veil and bouquet still have their ribbons. Available are two lovely Madame Alexander dolls, a boy and girl, I believe from the very early Friends from Foreign Lands collection. Both are dressed in their original clothing with hats, socks and shoes. The clothing is in good condition, some fading. Both have tags that read SWISS Madame Alexander, N. I could not believe my eyes when I realized she had an Alexander tag on her cute dress. I later discovered, with much research, that she was a 24 Betty. Like many Alexander composition dolls, she is not marked. She has her original human hair wig in its original curls, placed over a slightly molded head. Her eyes work smoothly and I love her pouty mouth. I wonder if Alexander was trying to compete with Patsy as this is the same era! The dress has no major flaws and has matching panties. Adorable all original Madame Alexander “Tiny Betty” composition doll from the Birthday series, representing March in her yellow organza tagged dress and bonnet. She measures about 7 inches tall and I’d say that she is in very good condition for her age. I’m offering her exactly as I found her. Her stringing is a bit tight but I believe it is original. Rare little gem that dates between 1937-38. Since she is composition, there is crazing… But no missing pieces or lifting. Delightful mohair wig is meant to resemble those powdered during the time of Marie Antoinette in the 18th century. Note: photos are enlargable. The delicate dress is crisp and remarkably colorful in spite of its age. I see no holes or fraying. The organza center panel has that typical darkened “tea stained” effect from age. I think the black lace she holds is supposed to be a fan because purses weren’t this size in that period (and Mme Alexander was always accurate with her costumes). She’s just wonderful and I have loved her; I’m just downsizing. She comes from a smoke free home and I have displayed her away from direct sunlight. This is one of the most beautiful and adorable, Madame Alexander, jointed composition, (Betty face) “Princess Elizabeth” (1937 deluxe model) dolls we have had the pleasure to offer. Glenn Mandeville’s Madame Alexander Dolls 3rd Collector’s Price Guide full organdy slip/petticoat with attached organdy panties, nylon socks and adorable, silver leatherette shoes with side snap closures. She has adorable dimples, excellent coloring and blush to her cheeks, elbows, hands, and knees, pretty sleep eyes (faded, cloudy) with perfect sable hair eyelashes, painted eyelashes, brows and closed mouth.
