RARE – OUTSTANDING MADAME ALEXANDER – “McGUFFEY ANA”. VINTAGE COMPOSITION. Circa: 1935 – 1937 – - In Blue Swiss Dot. This doll is from a smoke free home and has no odors. WoW – RARE doll in RARE original outfit. This McGuffey Ana is all original. Imagine, she is about 85 years old! For price reference see page # 19 – 20 in the book,’Doll Values’ 13th Edition by Linda Edward. This girl is 23 inches tall. She is seldom seen. And to think that she is all original. It is obvious that she was never a play doll. She has no repainting and little to none crazing as examined by a black light. She wears an underskirt/panties: a pale blue swiss dot dress with rick rack and lace; a silk vest with matching bonnet and purse; white leather boots and cotton socks. Her original wig has two pig tails with pale blue ribbons. Her silk bonnet and parts of her silk vest and silk purse are melting because of age. I have not undressed her so that I would not tear any of the silk clothes. Her fingers are in excellent condition. Her brown eyes are excellent. And her facial painting is excellent. This is an outstanding example of an early composition Madame Alexander doll. Maybe a blue ribbon winner. From my home to yours. Delivered right to your front door. 20 Cissy Doll 1950′s (Doll Only). Brunette With Blue Eyes. She is in lovely condition. There is a separation beginning on top of right leg inside hip joint. She has a few minor nicks or scratches but overall beautiful condition. 20 Cissy Doll 1958 (Doll Only). I found her wearing her Flowery painted gown and hat (they are in separate listings). She can be seen on page 137 in “Cissy Reference Rarities Restoration” and page 39 of “The Cissy Files” by Kiley Ruwe Shaw. She is in non play, lovely condition. The only flaw is a separation on outside left knee. She has been restrung with new bands, otherwise all original gorgeous face, eyes and wig. Very clean and no odors. Vintage 1957-58 Madame Alexander Cissette doll. Brunette hair, triple stitched part. Wearing tagged aqua blue cotton dress with lace trim. Woven hat with flocked flowers and veil. Presented here is a fabulous 1950′s Madame Alexander Cissette doll. Hair with a triple stitched part wig, still in the most of the original lovely curls, smooth with a nice sheen. The eyes open and close freely, hard upper lashes, painted under lashes, single stroke brows, coral mouth, lovely coloring. She has pierced ears with pearl embellished drop earrings. The doll is hard plastic, bent knee, good strings, holds a pose well, marked on the back; MME Alexander, no splits. She is wearing the original tagged dress, it is aqua-blue cotton with a full circle skirt, buttons in the front, trimmed with lace. She has a taffeta slip with net flounce and aqua-blue panties with lace trim, matching satin high heel pumps. Her hat is fabulous, woven cream color with wide shaped brim, it has a matching woven blue bow on top, covered with fine veil around the front. Her Her is still in net. She is in beautiful condition. She did have her face blushed. She lokks like she was never played with her hair is still in net with bar. Gown Is pleated cornflower blue tulle with butterfly treatment at shoulders and gather swag coming from back of Waist. Gown is accented with pale pink cabbage roses with beautiful crystals. Under skirt is dyed cotton Organdy. It has a matching taffeta slip and matching taffeta undies. It has four snaps going up back. It is tagged Madame Alexander Elise. This is considered hard to fine. I did find one tiny hole. There are is a split in the tulle. RARE ELISE Gown CornflowerTulle, RARE CISSY. Rather then split tulle it seems to be in really nice condition with no stains. Vintage Madame Alexander Cissy Beautiful Blue Bird Print Dress. Beautiful vintage tagged “Cissy” dress. Polished cotton in the most beautiful blue–sort of a blend of steel blue/and maybe a darkish aqua–hard for me to describe–not a true blue but beautiful with birds on twigs with flowers print with muted green and pink highlights of color. Wide pink ribbon at waist with faux long petal flower at left side at waist. Still a colorful print with no fading, and a great heavy sheen, does not appear to have been laundered. Short cap sleeves, fitted lined bodice and full circle skirt. The dress has 4 square snaps at the center back of the bodice, and they are all securely attached and work. The hemming on the attached full circle skirt appears to be original, not rehemmed for length, with no missing stitched areas. No holes, no stains, very nice vintage tagged Madame Alexander “Cissy” dress, some minor wrinkling from storage. All items as described and photographed to the best of my ability. Cissette is very nice, not mint, played with and displayed doll. She has triple stitched wig and nice face coloring. Her knees and hip joints work well. Her dress is blue taffeta with organdy sleeves and inserts. No tag or sash. The dress is in good condition, not mint. It has a 3 snap closures. It has had repairs to seams. It has been ironed and has shiny parts in the taffeta. Her hat is not an original Cissette hat but a vintage replacement. Her shoes are vintage Cissette. The elastic is loose.
