Notice she has the early loop curls on the back of her hair. She has no odors. Her hair is still in place but there is a little age to all the dolls since they are over 75 years old. She is all original and is very pretty.

This listing is for a vintage. 1950s Madame Alexander LITTLE WOMEN AMY doll loop curls original fabric tag on back of dress at the neck. The doll is approx 14 tall. I think it may say “alex” on the back of her head? The Amy doll is in very good vintage condition with the light wear and patina you would expect in an item of this vintage. There is a slight bit of discoloration on her petticoat – see photo # 4 at the bottom of the petticoat to the right of center. I’ve also read that some of these dolls can be rather loosely strung – I don’t know if that is the case with this doll or not – her head stays upright when you hold her still but if you move her around (I don’t have a doll stand) it has a tendency to drop forward a little bit. I don’t have a lot of experience with dolls so please let me know if you have any questions. Please see all 12 photos several of which are taken on a 1 ruler grid for relative size purposes. Please note also , that the flash and close-up function of my camera shows all of the dust, etc. Which is not visible to the naked eye. Madame Alexander Vintage Cissy With Harder To Find Crimped Blonde Curls. She is very beautiful. Infused doll with pretty blue eyes. No splits or odors. Clean and well strung. Blush has been very lightly professionally enhanced. Her hair does have fly-always and is flattened in back from storage. I believe she is from 1958. Certain of the Cissy fashions require this crimped hair wig, and it is not easy to find. A really pretty one to dress! Doll does have holes for earrings. Here, for your consideration is a 20 inch Cissy from 1957, based on the information in my book. She is called “Black A-Line” Cissy. She is all original wearing her black velvet/velveteen A-Line gown. There is beaded trim at the top. She wears her original earrings, which have turned some from age. She also wears black fingerless gloves. She wears a black slip, black panties, black shoes, with back seam stockings. Her face is absolutely gorgeous with bright coloring. Her head is a little loose. She looks to have all her eyelashes. Her hair is in the original set with the RARE side curls. Her hair is ultra shiny, in my opinion. I see no crotch or knee cracks. She has her original fur stole with the little animal face showing. I have to tell you that age is taking a tole on it. It is shedding pretty badly. I’m sure you can see some on her gown. Also, on the lining in the picture, you can see where someone has tried to do some repair work. If it were me, I would get a vintage Madame Alexander stole that is “fake” fur and use that. Although, of course that is your decision. Notice the blue showing in her eyes. Based on everything I have been told and have learned, this is the original doll in her original gown with matching slip. Cissy does not appear to have any crotch cracks or knee cracks. She seems to have all her eyelashes and her face paint is just beautiful. Her coloring all over is just lovely, in my opinion. This is the way she came to me.
