She also wears a green can-can slip of taffeta and tulle, taffeta panties trimmed with Val lace, seamed nylon hose and shoes. A stunningly beautiful doll. Beautiful Cissy with tosca wig in original, tagged, black taffeta dress known as the Black Widow, #2091 made in 1955 for Cissy by Madame Alexander. Tagged afternoon dress of taffeta with deep pleats is accented with a pronged brooch at the neckline. She also wears a pink hat, pink can-can slip of taffeta and tulle, taffeta panties trimmed with Val lace, seamed nylon hose and shoes. She has her original wrist tag, carries a hankie attached to her wedding band and a nice replacement of her lucite purse. A wonderful example of this beautiful Alexander doll. Condition: The doll is generally in excellent condition with no damage noted, hair is slightly mussed. The elastic in her panties has relaxed as well as the elastic in her shoes which has been tied in bows at the ankle. See pictures for best description. Vintage Madame Alexander 1950′s Cissette is Dressed in Pink Polished Cotton Dress with White Bib of Val Lace and Buttons Style #909 of 1957 as Shown on Page 148 in Marjorie Merod’s “Cissette a Complete Guide”. Doll and Outfit are in New Condition. I took them Out of Original Box. Outfit Comes with with Taffeta Slip and Panties, both Trimmed With Val Lace. The Hat was also Included in the box. I have Added Pink Stockings and Shoes. There is a very small pin prick sized black spot near hem of skirt which is barely noticeable and I haven’t tried to remove it. Cissette Doll has Lovely Face. Just one of inkFrog’s. From a recent estate sale is a very nice Madame Alexander Alex doll. The doll appears to me to be unplayed with – her clothes are clean and her hair is as it should be. She came in the box shown – I don’t know if it is the original box. The MA booklet shows this outfit and numbers it 580 but the box has the number 568. The doll has brown eyes and blonde hair and is a bent knee walker. She has a small dark spot of what appears to be plastic on the inside back of her knee – photo 6 – it appears to me it may be a manufacturing flaw. Her clothes are untagged. One shoe has the stitching separating on the back seam and another shoe has pencil writing on the bottom. The booklet which came in the box is in very good condition – I find no date in it. The box lid has a tear and corner separation on one end flap. Unless otherwise specified my items are preowned and vintage – they are not new. I will describe any damage or problems aside from what would be considered normal wear – but you should expect some wear on them. This beautiful Madame Alexander 8 doll is a Wendy Dressed for the Maypole Dance or Wendy Dances Around the Maypole. She is a hard-plastic straight leg walker doll from 1955 and the outfit is numbered 458. Wendy is dressed in a very light blue taffeta dress with a tiny lace trimmed organdy yolk and lace frills sewn under the hemline. A perfect coronet of rosettes on her head gives this outfit a festive flare. Wendy wears a cotton slip and matching pantaloons. Her terrific shoes have fuzzy bottoms. What a lovely doll! Vintage 1940s 21 Composition Alexander Dressed Margaret O’Brien Doll. S he’s a Beauty! Pretty Margaret faced brunette Margaret O’Brien wearing her original coat, hat and dress ensemble. 21 composition Margaret with mohair wig, clear blue sleep eyes and pretty painted features. She has a very nice condition body and pretty face. All composition, jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips. Clear and sparkly blue sleep eyes with thick brush lashes. Highlighting her eyes grey shadow, single stroke eyebrows, and below long. Right cheek blush, and closed rosebud lips. Her wig is all mohair in the typical O’Brien pigtails, held in place with two blue ribbons. Margaret is wearing her original white organdy dotted Swiss dress with blue trim, full skirt and puff sleeves, blue corduroy coat decorated with white pom poms and matching hat. Underneath, eyelet trimmed one piece undies. On her feet nylon socks and black ankle strap snap shoes. MARK: Madame Alexander on her head and back. Because of her size, she will need a 24 box and the Post Office is now charging for volume as well as weight. Rates have gone up. Good, carefully played with condition. Her painted facial features are all in tack and appear original. She has working, clear sleep eyes with thick brush lashes. Her vintage wig is mohair in a nice set although her pigtails look a bit short. Even skin tone with original paint. Fingers and toes have had rough repairs on their tips – see pictures. She has light to moderate over all crazing. Paint wear to joints. No cracks, chips, lifting or flaking paint. Her costume is not tagged but is easily recognized and has working square snaps and serged seams. The coat and hat are in good displayed condition. The set has working snaps, original pom poms and light over all display soil. The dress fabric is thin and fragile. It has small rust stains at the neck, several rips – the one in front shown in pics and additionally several in the back of the skirt. All are about 1/2″ to 1″ in size. The one piece underwear appears to be original. It closes with a safety pin and is in good condition. Her socks and ankle strap, snap shoes are in good condition and look like vintage replacements. Pretty Margaret faced blond Alice in Wonderland wearing her original tagged costume. 21 composition Alice with mohair wig, clear blue sleep eyes and pretty painted features. Her wig is all mohair in a nice set although it looks to have been combed. It is thin on the bottom. In her hair, a vintage black velvet ribbon. Alice wears her traditional blue dress with black velvet neck bow, white organdy lace trimmed apron, long white stockings, black side snap shoes, eyelet trimmed slip and panties. Around her neck, she has a Disney Alice in Wonderland watch on a chain with white rabbit and umbrella charms. Marked: Madame Alexander on her head and back.
