Vtg 1950′s Madame Alexander ELISE 15 Doll Hard Plastic w Jointed Vinyl Body. Doll is in nice clean working condition. She has not been restrung and still has her original band inside arms. Her eyes are nice and bright with full lashes. She has a light complexion with nice face paint. Her joints are good. It does take a bit of gentle pressure to put her in a sitting position. I put the right leg in first then the left leg goes more easily. Other than that, she will need a doll stand to display. Her outfit is not tagged and is a beautiful sea blue green color. It appears to be made of organdy where her slip is made of satin. I’ve replaced her nylons and shoes. She comes with a nice faux white shawl. She is a very nice doll. Vintage Madame Alexander ELISE Bride Doll. Beautiful Ivory Wedding Gown. Complete with panties, nylon stockings, veil, bouquet- no shoes or stand. Tagged, Clean, Very good Condition. Her joints are secure & Elise poses easily. Joints are moveable at neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees & ankles. Elise holds a Lovely flower bouquet trimmed with ribbons. Her veil is held in place by a beautiful band of flowers. Her nylon stockings are free of defects. Bright Clear Blue Eyes all lashes intact Eyes open and close easily. Beautiful all Original face color Body has no cracks and the only defects I can see are photographed and are just surface. I do not know the proper way to clean it so I will leave it up to the experts. She is in really great condition! She does have her earrings, though where they go into the ears, there’s the tiniest bit of corrosion. The gown is in great clean condition as is the veil. We would prefer not to disappoint you! She is in excellent condition for her age!! The dress has no holes, stains and odors. The tutu has it’s original gold lettered tag and snap fasteners are in perfect working order. She’s wearing her original tiara and replacement earrings. The holes on the ears do not go through, so the previous owner added sticky sparkly earrings. The shoes are not gold on this doll, but are vintage pink. The true blonde hair is in its original set with a spanner band on the top holding the curls. Her facial coloring is superb! She’s described in Kiley Shaw’s Elise Files book as follows Elise shimmers in a golden tutu with gold lame bodice trimmed at neck and waist with sequins… Tiara is made of sequins over a clear plastic base.. I did not list much for quite awhile, as I was his caretaker. He and I were great collectors of many things. Please enlarge all pics and study them carefully, they are your best discription. This beautiful Elise has been with me a long time. She has all original clothes, and the shoes are vintage, but I do not think original. Dress of pleated organdy, double slip of organdy and satin or taffeta? , with matching panties, white stockings and veil, which is damaged on the bottom as pictured. The floral headpiece is really pretty. The sleeves have stretched elastic. She has her original brunette wig. She has bendable limbs and can hold a pose. Her right hip joint seems stuck, and will not let her sit. Her arms could stand to be restung, but ok as is. She has no cracks. She is marked on her head and back and has a label in her skirt-slip. She is about 15 1/2 tall and I will include her stand. She has been packed and displayed in glass cabinet, so could probably use a little cleaning, but not dirty. This is one I will miss for sure. Please give her a good home. Please remember just how old these dolls are and played with. They may come with little marks, shiny patch or something minor. If I see anything obvious I will say so.
