This 21 Madame Alexander Alice doll is just spectacular! This particular size was made for only one year – 1948 to 1949. She has the Margaret face and is made of composition. The fancy key she holds in one photo and her kitten WILL accompany the doll. Her dress was faded considerably, so I have re-dyed it to its original cornflower blue. This fabric took the dye beautifully and evenly.. The white collar and hemline trim were removed and re-sewn to the garment. Her pinafore crinoline apron is crisp and white, with one small hole and snag on the bodice, down in photos. This girl has all her original pieces, including socks, shoes and bloomers. She has a blonde mohair wig in very nice condition. Her eyes are clear and blue, they open and close properly, and they have full lashes. There is some crazing on her face which I have treated with craze control and have sealed, See photo. , however she has no crazing or lifting of paint anywhere else on her body. ? She is in absolutely remarkable condition for her age. The crazing on her face is hardly noticeable, as you can see in most of the photos, except for the one close-up I took, which you can zoom-in on. I have restrung her and she can hold a nice pose without a doll stand. It is difficult to find the 21 composition Alice in either the Margaret or the Wendy Ann face because of the limited time of their manufacture. It took me a LONG time to find this doll, and she would be a treasured addition to someones collection! Thank you for looking! Madame Alexander RARE “Cynthia” Margaret Face Black Brown HP Doll 1952 ORIG. 18″ Wonderful and rare MA “Cynthia African American doll with the Margaret face mold, stock #1830, made for just one year. Her body is hard plastic and strung, molded navel, bottom, fingers, toes and ears. She has amber sleep eyes with full upper lashes, painted lower lashes, painted brows, and lovely rosebud lips. Her hair style is original and quite tidy including her original hair clip, extremely HTF, yellow ribbon and flowers. She wears her original shoes, socks and lace panties decorated with yellow ribbon. Condition: Generally good as pictured and described above. Her stringing is likely original and fairly tight. There’s rubbing and paint loss on the inside of her four limbs as well as the back of her calves and upper thighs small scratch on left cheek, minor scratching on body, panties have some color transfer on the inside. This beauty is in excellent condition and stands 11 tall. Made in 1939, her composition is in excellent condition. Her black mohair wig is in its original set. She is original from her wonderful bonnet to her shoes and socks, however her velvet bodice and bonnet have been carefully re-dyed to achieve their original green and I have added a new green feather to the bonnet. Today I have a beautiful Madam Alexander 14-15 Amy doll from Little Women. This doll is from the early 1950′s. I also include a doll stand for her. Amy has her original dress, with tag, pantaloons and shoes. There is one small spot on the back of her dress that may come out, see photo close up. Her lovely blonde hair has a little missing from her bangs and needs her curls restyles. I think she had black bows at one time. FROM THE HOME OF A SMOKING COLLECTOR. This doll is in lovely condition for a vintage doll She is a 14 Margaret face Madame Alexander from 1950. She has her bracelet but does not have shoes and her hairpiece was destroyed (I will send the remnants with her). Her dress has staining but is structurally sound with no damage. Her hair is in excellent set and her eyes work well. She will be due to restring soon but she currently is holding her head and limbs well. Her right hand has a bit of light damage on the top (perhaps cuts) but fingers and toes are fully intact in on all limbs. A nice doll from the 1950′s with a highly desirable Margaret face. We offer for your consideration a lovely 14 unmarked Maggie face Annabelle doll with incredibly bright and unclouded eyes. Her hair is in the original upturned curl on the bottom style with the two sides swept up into her original barrette. Her coloring is even and true to her original beauty with nicely blushed cheeks and full and unfaded lips. She is stunning with her factory fresh, or close to it, tagged Annabelle, bright, unfaded, and issue free crisp white dress. The blue Annabelle blouse is lovely with no obvious issues or blemishes. The full slip under dress is flawless. Please note that the snap buttons on her slip are loose and will need resewn. The stockings are a fresh color, a little age on the ends, and they fold down nicely. Her side snap shoes are intact and displayable. Her panties are bright, white, and snap in the back. Her long off-white slip sparkles with freshness. Her eyes are highlighted with molded eyelashes, as well as individually painted lashes on the bottom sides of her eyes. Her face, torso, and limbs are hard plastic with five pieces. She is remarkable with her pink eyelids and lovely eyebrows. She is well strung and displays nicely on a doll stand. Her original elastic bands were removed and replaced with new elastic cording. Her head stays in place and does not droop. Her arms hold a pose very nicely. Her legs are nicely attached and tight. Her body and limbs are exceptionally clean, undamaged, and free of issues, or blemishes. She is a sleep eye doll, and her eyes open and close easily. Her fingernails are unfaded and bright. Her coloring is a matte suntanned appearance. She is a beauty from the original owner’s showcase. This doll was kept in the family of a vast doll collection from the 1930s through the 1970s. Her hair is full with no thinning areas. The wig is well attached, and it may cover a Madame Alexander marking on her neck. She has no markings on her back or neck, which seems how Maggie face dolls were made. Please look at the photos for further visual image of her condition.
