Madame Alexander Dolls

She is wearing a black pinafore outfit that was made from 1953-56. She is from 1955 based off of her having no under eyelashes. This doll is in unplayed with condition and just terrific in every way. The doll herself has darling auburn side bunches with original green factory tied bows. She has beautiful all original coloring and is a SLW. She is a little bit loose but we did not want to undress her to restring her and will leave it up to the new owner. Her dress is so cute and is a dark pink with a waffle design. The dress is perfect with no stains, holes, tears or odors. The matching bloomers are also perfect and have tight original stretch. The black pinafore is beautiful and has not faded. It also has no issues to report and is still factory tied in the back. She comes wearing beautiful socks and an excellent pair of fuzzy bottom black shoes that show no wear. She finishes off her outfit with a darling straw hat with pink roses. The hat like everything else is excellent and has tight stretch to the elastic. She comes with her original hang tag, neck brace and box all of which are in great condition. All together this is a near mint to mint doll in the box that is unplayed with and fantastic. Simply gorgeous, she has fabulous face paint, with high color cheeks, ruby lips, and flutter sleep eyes. Her dark blonde wig is triple stitched and. In the original set, a bit flattened in the back from a hat, or perhaps laying in a box. Wendy’s heavy hard plastic body has no splits, cracks, or chew marks. She is evenly colored, nicely strung, and will hold a pose. One arm stays up better than the other. She will be fun to dress! This Kins is just beautiful with lovely overall coloring and pretty all original bright facial coloring. She has a beautiful blonde triple stitch wig in the original set topped with an original pink bow to match her dress. She does have one little rub on her face that is hard to see in the pictures but is there so I wanted to mention it. It does not in anyway distract from her beauty. She comes wearing a beautiful pink taffeta dress that is in excellent condition. The dress has no stains, tears, holes or odors. The color of the dress is a beautiful pink with nice white lace trim. Under her dress she has on a beautiful organdy slipand a matching pair of pink tafetta bloomers. The elastic at the waist of both items is nice and tight. She comes with white top stitch side snap shoes that are in very good condition. All together this is such a lovely early Alexander Kins that is sure to please. I believe she dates from the 1950s. Here knees are jointed. Her outfit is all original. She is dressed as a Chamber Maid and comes complete with her own dusting stick and little lace cap on her head. I will answer the best I can. Her eyes open and close. Cloth tag on the back of the dress. There is a small faded spot on the back edge of the dress (see photo). Very good condition for the age. Here dress is a little dusty, but I did not attempt to clean her in any way. I leave that for the experts. A wonderful addition for any collection or she would make a great gift. This 8 strung Madame Alexander doll is from the early 1950′s. She’s been very gently played with. Hair is in its original set, bit mussed. Body is fine but does have a few dark spots by ankles probably from the black shoes she wore. She’s well strung and a type of heavier doll made in the early days. Her makeup is fine and eyes open and close easily. She comes with her original black side snap shoes (snaps are working). The clothes are not tagged and in played with shape. She has lovely bright facial painting with rosy cheeks, full lips, and nice brown eyelashes and brows. Her body is free of stains or cracks and she has a lovely even skin tone. She is tightly strung and can stand freely without a stand. She comes wearing organdy bloomers that in in very good condition. This is a beautiful doll with a perfectly styled hair do that is unique to only this outfit. Her hair is shiny and still in crisp perfect curls that frame her face. She has beautiful all original coloring and has a lovely matte finish. Her skin tone is nice and even and she has no stains or cracks to her plastic. Her dress is in excellent condition and is very crisp. It has no stains, holes or odors. Under the dress she wears the correct slip and bloomers. The organdy has darkend from age but the elastic is still nice and tight on both the slip and bloomers. Her black fuzzy bottom side snap shoes and socks are in nice condition and show no wear. However I did notice that some of the sueding has come off from age. She wears a beautiful black hat with flower and fruit adornment. The hat is just excellent and has a wonderful shine to it and the flowers/fruit are all in excellent condition as well. Lastly she wears a pair of beautiful rhinestone earrings that are in excellent condition with lots of shine. She comes in her original box labeled 635 which I believe to be the correct number. The box shows lots of wear but it has kept her safe all these years and is original to her. All together this is an excellent example of this doll that will be a great addition to your collection.
