This is a 21 (approximately) Gorgeous Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She is from the 1950s. She is dressed in a very rare tagged red brocade dress with attached shawl and flower. She is in excellent condition with a few minor marks on the dress. Comes with correct netted red slip, panties, nylons and unstretched gold sandals. Her brunette hair is in original set and has curls at the back with red flowers on top. Her face paint is beautiful with full lashes top and bottom, good brows, rosey cheeks and red lips. Stringing seems good and she holds a pose. I had the jewelry made for her long ago by Joshards Originals. I have had her in my collection for a very long time. She is over 60 years old but doesnt look it. I have not collected dolls for a while so might have missed something important to you, so please ask questions. This HTF outfit consists of a tagged jacket, skirt, tagged blouse, and unique pink petal hat. The tagged jacket and skirt are made of wool felt with rhinestone accents on the lapel and skirt elastic waistband. The rhinestone accents are all present including the little chevron on the lapel, which is usually missing. The tagged blouse is made of organdy with lace trimmed armholes and a lace ruffle with 4 tiny buttons down the front, There are no rips, tears, holes, stains, or odors to the outfit. CHRISTMAS MADNESS SALE, HUGE REDUCTION, HURRY HURRY! Lady Churchill Dressed for Queen Elizabeth I I Coronation. Her body is in excellent condition. I will upload two pictures of her undressed later. Her dress is superb and her coat has all its Rhinestones. There is some staining along on the length, but its in the billowing folds and truly I never see. Where the coat is folded back (camera right), theres another tiny stain, but again hidden by the factory intended flap. Her face is a vision and no repaint. Such gorgeous blue eyes on a beautiful Margaret face. One spoke of her tiara has broken off, but DOES NOT effect it standing upright. The fabric is gorgeous silk satin and is exactly as the pictures. Madame Alexander Doll Company has been creating beautifully crafted dolls since 1923. Through the years, the attention to detail and craftmanship has remained top priority while creating dolls based on beloved child hood characters. Bertha “Beatrice” Alexander Behrman (March 9, 1895 October 3, 1990) , known as Madame Alexander, was an American dollmaker. Founder and owner of the Alexander Doll Company in New York City for 65 years, she introduced new materials and innovative designs to create lifelike dolls based on famous people and characters in books, films, music, and art. Among her notable creations were the Scarlett O’Hara doll, the Dionne quintuplets dolls, and a 36-doll set of the royal family and their guests at the 1953 coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. During her stewardship, the company produced more than 5,000 dolls, many of which became collector’s items. Extremely rare 1 year doll, 1959 Miss Shari Lewis by Madame Alexander.
