Madame Alexander Dolls

For your consideration is this amazing Alexander Cissy doll from 1956. She is known as the Pink Ballerina Dress and The dress is basically made out of lace and pink tulle. The dress does have all the flowers and I do not see any holes in the tulle. There is some fading in the dress-it is very hard to capture in the pictures. She really is simply breathtaking! This doll is not for the mint collector. The elastic in her panties is stretched and She comes with her nylons and shoes that I did replace the silver elastic. She has gorgeous hair and good color. She does have a split by her left knee and one on each side of her hip-you can not see those when shes standing and it does not Affect her posing. I didnt know that it was there until I really did the super in detail look. She has glued on crystal earrings to give her a little extra sparkle. She is missing some flowers in her hair but those can be easily replaced. She comes from a smoke free home and has no odors! She is ready to be your Valentine! This is a hard to find Doll in this condition. This beautiful girl is ready for the Christmas ball! She really is simply breathtaking! Nowshe does have some imperfections As her gown does have a few spots on it and in one small section there is water stain on her hem. She has had her hair completely restored and it looks glorious! I believe these are her original pearl earrings but she does have replaced pearl necklace and replaced Crystal Snowflake pin. Her slip does have stretched elastic at the waist. Her face is beautiful with very strong eyebrows. Her gown has all of its beautiful square snaps in place. She also has her rhinestone ring and comes with a red Christmas box to hang from her wrist. Her eyes are beautiful blue and she has all of her lashes. Still has no cracks or splits and has gorgeous coloring. Shes ready to put under your Christmas tree! Once again, the pictures tell the entire story… A near exact reproduction of Cissy’s elusive powder blue brocade cocktail dress… The magic wand was waved, and Cissy is saying Merry Christmas in gorgeous silver brocade (thanks to donnascreations4you,) accented with vintage velvet & organdy florals at both her dress waist and in her hair. This is one of those times when pictures say a thousand words. Here is the Alexander Doll Company’s very rare yellow version of boxed extra item #22-60, the dotted Swiss tulle gown from 1959, also catalogued by FAO Schwarz as item #25-21-2. With an extremely critical eye, I must say this gown is in as near mint condition as mint can be – I reserve awarding that title only because it does not have its original box. This bright & crisply tagged gown has a cotton organdy underskirt; there is not a single spot of soiling or as much as a snag anywhere in either the organdy or the yards of overlaying tulle. Closure is at the back with four square snaps. Usually seen in the more familiar red version, both the yellow and the blue gowns are extremely rare and a favorite among collectors. Underneath Cissy is wearing vintage hosiery, and the gorgeous silk taffeta & tulle yellow slip (with matching original panties) is a perfect replica of the slip originally seen with this spectacular gown. Cissy is wearing a topaz set of rhinestone jewelry and an original Cissy “diamond” ring, and she carries yellow vintage gloves and an original vintage white & gold hatbox. Her vintage original gold sandals make the outfit complete! Cissy is exquisite, an early 1956 painted girl with gorgeous features, her blush & lip color have been lightly refreshed. Maggie Is Happy… It’s Almost Summer! Check this cutie out, in her beautiful, original tagged outfit! The white organdy blouse with ruffle-tiered sleeves has a square neckline, buttons at the back, and it’s decorated with the original pink velvet bow. There are rhinestones sprinkled on the waistband & front of the skirt. This adorable outfit is in outstanding condition, with no holes, rips, tears or odors. Underneath Maggie wears a stiff taffeta slip (not original, and probably homemade) which is a bit too long for this skirt, but a slight “hike” at the waist does the trick! She has lace trimmed taffeta panties as well. On her feet, her original socks & black side-snap shoes, and she’s wearing a small vintage faux-pearl bracelet. Unbelievable 21 Madame Alexander Cissy. I believe from 1957 or 1958. From original owner, she and her sister both received a Cissy bride doll for Christmas. Dress is great, it it looks like its yellowed any place it’s JUST THE PHOTO. Her veil is great with all original flowers on crown. Hair still has original netting. Eyes are blue, lashes are full. Hair in original style. Great red lips and pretty blush, very fresh looking. Original bouquet, shoes, nylons and garter. No smells or stains or holes. Original box and tissue and lid, they show their age. Her only issue is when you lay her down and than stand her up her eyes stay closed. Just hold her against yourself and tap her feet at bottom and they pop open and stay open. I can send you a video showing you how simple and quick that is. More photos upon request. I believe her to be a Kathy doll but I can not be 100% sure as her box is not marked with her name and her outfit is very unique. Her box and dress retain the original store tags from the department store Stix, Baer & Fuller and I think she could have been a store special for them. Stix, Baer & Fuller was only found in St. Louis Missouri and was in operation from 1892 to 1984. This doll and box both have their fashion award medals which means she was produced sometime around 1950. I can not say enough about how beautiful this doll is. Her hair and facial coloring is absolutely pristine! Her hair is a beautiful strawberry blonde color and there is not a single hair out of place. Her hair has a silky shine and her braids are perfect with the most beautiful pink bows at their ends. Her facial coloring is bright and beautiful and she has the most outstanding brown eyes. Her brown eyes are clear and her lashes are nice and full. Her dress and pinafore are also in excellent condition with no holes, stains, tears or odors. The dress is pink with white polka dots and the sleeves and collar are trimmed in organdy. The dress has the remnants of a tag which was located under the collar and appears to be a Madame Alexander tag as you can still see a bit of the dark blue writing. The white organdy pinafore is trimmed with a pink ribbon that exactly matches the bows in her hair. The organdy of the pinafore has aged and is not as white as it once was as seen in the pictures. Under the dress she wears a white slip with attached bloomers. The slip and bloomers close with a square snap and are in excellent condition. The socks and shoes are also excellent with no issues to report. The doll came to us in her original box which has kept her safe all these years but is in terrible condition. It is truly falling apart and when I was picturing the box what was left of the lid broke in half and the rest is being held together with a lot of tape. All that being said it does lend to her originality and shows where the doll came from. This is such a fantastic doll with rare brown eyes and a beautiful dress and she will be a stand out in any collection. Please take a look at all my other Vintage doll offerings this week.
