She is 8tall, made of hard plastic and is fully strung from 1953. She has a triple stitch blonde wig in the original braid style, green eyes, rosy cheeks and red lips. There is a tiny flaw on her left cheek and her stringing is a little loose. She is ready for you to dress. She has Vivid facial coloring and gorgeous blonde hair, and is All Original. She is 8, made of hard plastic and is fully strung from 1953. She has a triple stitch blonde wig, blue eyes, rosy cheeks and red lips. She is wearing a lace and satin ribbon bonnet, organdy pinafore, organdy dress, organdy 1/2 slip, organdy panties, rayon socks and top stitch side snap shoes with fuzzy bottoms. The only issue I see, is the left side of the ribbon tie on the back of the pinafore looks replaced. The outfit is not tagged, however it looks like a variation of ” Maypole Dance” from 1954. She has Vivid facial coloring and gorgeous blonde hair, and is All Original and Rare. She comes from a private collection, never played with and in Near Mint Condition. The Rarest Maggie On The Planet? Well, I’m not sure of that, but I can tell you this Maggie is as rare as she is stunning! Before acquiring this 14 beauty, a few years prior I was able to bring home the same costumed doll, with a Margaret face. Not being able to locate ANY literature or photographs of her, I consulted with two of the most well-respected Madame Alexander collectors/historians. They had never seen this gorgeous costume either, but from their knowledge & expertise, it was thought that this may have been a limited “special edition, ” perhaps made for a department store, and could possibly have been another version of Cinderella in her ball gown! We may never know for certain, but what we DO know is that she is one VERY rare doll! Her original tagged chiffon blush colored gown has a bodice similar to the Rosamund Bridesmaid, with small ruffles accentuating a sweetheart neckline. Loosely gathered sleeves drape her shoulders. The skirt of the gown is very full, and there are three rows of ruffles at the hemline. There are a couple of very small minor snags & pin holes in the chiffon. Any “fraying” at the hemline, etc. I promise you none of these minor items are at all noticeable because of the billowy fullness of the gown… This gown is in outstanding condition considering its 67 years! Closure is at the back with two square snaps. Underneath is an attached lightweight taffeta underskirt and replaced panties; and although there was no additional slip originally, I’ve added a pretty lace-trimmed crinoline to add some extra fullness. She wears her original perfect satin shoes, and I added a small vintage faux-pearl necklace & faux pearl bracelet. Both of the vintage floral bouquets (in her hair & at the waist of her gown) have been “spruced up” and look lovely. THIS IS ONE BREATHTAKING DOLL. Maggie is absolutely exquisite. Her features are gorgeous and her blush has been refreshed. Her delicate platinum floss hair is arranged in a lovely updo; a very narrow “slit” above her right leg hole (even though perfectly stable,) has been professionally repaired. Maggie has beautiful crystal clear blue-green eyes with full lashes, and no splits, cracks or odors. SHE’S EXQUISITE, SHE’S PERFECTION, SHE’S VERY RARE.. DON’T LET HER GET AWAY. DESCRIPTION: This is a strung Madame Alexander Kins doll. She is the heavier type made in 1953. Eyes open/close on their own. Arms do hold a pose. She does have marks/scuffs, and needs cleaning. Her hair is somewhat stiff where it touches her head. I think it just needs a good soak. U sed, played with condition. That gives you a total of 8 days to pay.
