1957-58 Cissy, Clothes and Armoire Collection. 1957 Bright, infused plastic Cissy with brunette wig in original set. Clear Blue sleep eyes with brush lashes and red lips. No seam splits, repairs or rehab for this doll. She is in factory original condition. Spectacular rhinestone earrings and solitaire ring. Doll Condition Issues: A few tiny black dots on her face when you blow up the photos. Brown string holding the curls at her neck replaced. #2120 1957 Gold Theater Outfit is original to this doll. Golden yellow satin full skirted dress with matching swing coat. Coat lined in white. Look at how crisp her undergarments are! Panties and lace slip retain the original millinery flowers. They are not crushed or faded. Elastic waistbands are tight and still stretchy. Condition issues: Gold elastic heels are torn. Her original black tulle or net stole was missing. For a fresh look inspired by her gorgeous undergarments, I added vintage pink tulle and millinery flowers that were repurposed from a 1950s ladies hat instead of the traditional black. Nylon Nightgown and floral Robe with puff sleeves. Heels: White and pink elastic heels with lace and flowers. One shoe missing the flower. Both a bit stretched. Pink striped cotton skirt, shorts and skirt set. Skirt has crisp Tag. Condition Issues: Shorts have a tiny mark on the back. Middle Buttonhole stitching on blouse is unraveling. Cabana Skirt & Hat. Yellow cotton striped skirt, amazing straw hat with original fruit and tortoise sunglasses for the Cabana swimsuit outfit. Last outfit is handmade from a 1950s Pattern. White and red pique Capri pants outfit. Vintage Wood Wardrobe with lovely knobs. Most likely produced by Halls Lifetime Doll Furniture. Just one minor scratch to note on lower left side of left door. 2 drawers and a shelf on left side and hanging rod on the right side. Vintage wire hangers for all outfits. The set includes an ivory satin theater coat lined in aqua taffeta, and an aqua taffeta dress. The coat is accented at the neck with a large aqua taffeta bow. This version does not have the coin trim at the wrist. The tagged dress has cap sleeves, a dropped waist, and gathered bust. The taffeta is crisp and clean like it just left the factory. She also wears a pink taffeta tulle trimmed cancan slip, val lace trimmed pink taffeta panties, and seamed stockings, silver shoes, and a faux diamond ring. The clothes are all in superb condition, never having been washed or ironed. There are no holes rips tears or stains to the clothes. The elastic on the shoes has relaxed but still stay on well as seen in the photos. The doll is pictured on page #59 of the book Cissy R. There are no splits or cracks on the doll. I don’t think the doll was played with. She has lovely original coloring no spa treatments or touch ups. The doll has clear blue eyes, full original eye lashes, ruby red lips, rosy cheeks, and a gorgeous blonde wig in the original updo set. The original box is also included. It is not in very good condition being taped in places, and pieces of the sides of the top are missing. Still it is the original box and 65 years old. She is a beautiful early Cissy doll in a minty outfit that would be a wonderful addition to any collection. The pictures are the main description. More commonly seen in aqua with different detail at neck. Please look over the photos carefully and READ the complete description. I strive for accuracy and do not use photo-shop in my listings. I will be listing various Cissy and Elise dolls as well as clothing and accessories. This doll is a phenomenal example of an early Cissy doll. It is so difficult to find them in this condition. She has the loveliest complexion with rosy beige undertones and velvety patina. DOLL: 1956 painted doll. Her body has a good heavy balanced weight and she hold a pose well. She was able to balance on her own for this photo shoot! CLOTHING: VHTF variation Dress is mint. It is made of a vibrant marine blue lightweight taffeta. Dress has not been washed or ironed. Sash is also mint with original flower. The coat has some yellowing, especially on the coin trim. The ivory satin also shows some foxxing. It should soak well in oxi, leaving up to new owner to decide. Coat may have been ironed. Replaced elastic in shoes. Can pose and balance unaided. No splits or cracks. FACE: What can I say??? I LOVE a factory finish on an early doll. The velvet finish is so warm snd inviting. Some photograph like a dream and she is one of those. She has been lightly wiped down to remove any dust. Her right cheek is original, left cheek very slightly airbrushed to match, sealed. Lips have had a satin overcoat. EYES: BLUE, yep, her eyes are still BLUE. Her eyes are clear… Not a drop of yellowing… All original eyebrows and painted underlashes. Her eyelashes are full. Replaced brush lashes on right eye, filled on left eye. WIG: blonde up-do with most of the original hair ties and pins, has not been combed out etc. Good shine, wig curl is factory set and tight. REFERENCE PAGES FROM CISSY! BOOK: pg 78-79, 216-217. NOTES: My home is pet free and smoke free. As the dolls are 60 plus years old I cannot verify their previous conditions. You can rest assured that dolls I sell are odor free unless otherwise stated. This is a 1956 all original 20 Cissy doll by Madame Alexander wearing Theater Set. Her auburn hair is in its original uncombed style. Her face is matte with red lips and gorgeous blue-green eyes. Her eyelashes are intact and eyes open and close. She has blush on her cheeks and on both her knees. Her elbows and knees are jointed. Her left knee bends nicely and her right knee bends with more effort but not as far. There is a small mark on her bottom (see photo) that I believe may have been a factory flaw that was touched up (as noticed under 10x loupe). There are no cracks, splits, or odors. She holds a pose nicely. Her tagged aqua taffeta dress is vibrant (no fading) with all 4 square snaps intact. Her half slip and underpants are in excellent condition with great elastic. Her cream satin coat has some age in color including some fading of the bow by the neck. But the lining is as vibrant as her dress. The gold edge of the lace on the coat sleeves is loose, but it is still there. There is a small hole on the back of her right sleeve and a small pulled thread on the back of the coat. The fastener on the coat is intact. No spots or stains noted on her outfit. Her nylons are in good condition. On her right foot there are two small round holes in the nylons, one by her big toe and the other just above. Her shoes are gold. The elastic has stretched, but there is still some stretch to the elastic. The gold paper covering one of the soles is in fair condition. All in all she is a beautiful doll. Vintage 1950′s Madame Alexander Cissy doll. Hard plastic with vinyl jointed arms. Stitched part blonde wig. Tagged blue taffeta dress with satin coat. Matching slip, panties, stockings, white strappy high heels, three strand pearl necklace and hoop petticoat. Presented here is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She has a hard plastic jointed body with vinyl jointed arms. Stitched blonde wig in curls with bangs, the hair is tied at the sides, nice sheen. Blue-green sleep eyes that open and close with thick hair lashes, painted under lashes, nice coloring, coral mouth, the ears are not pierced. Marked on the back of the head “ALEXANDER” under the hair. She is wearing a fabulous dress of blue taffeta with an ivory satin coat lined in matching blue taffeta, blue bow at the neck. She has blue taffeta panties and a matching underskirt with ruffled flounce, plus a hoop skirt petticoat. She wears seamed stockings and white strappy high heel shoes. Her necklace is original, wired triple stand pearls. The clothing is in overall good vintage condition, shows some age, no tears or stains. The stockings have a repair in one foot and the tops are slightly different, the elastic straps on the shoes have lost some stretch. Overall stunning doll and rare outfit! The doll has no cracks, splits, odors, stains or repairs. Minimal inner leg and neck rubs. Newly restrung to head and arms. Beautiful blue eyes with full original lashes. The lids have some slight rubs. Some blush and a matte finish was added to her face. Nice arms with no breaks in the sockets. There is a small pin head size black dot on her upper right arm. Her legs are tight. Clean with no cuts or bald areas. Has a new spanner bar. The outfit consists of the coat with scarf (replaced), dress, newly made pleated lace slip, pink Cissy panties with some repairs in the front, and gold replaced shoes with great elastic, and new nylons. The coat and dress appear to have been cleaned at one time. Dress has some stains here and there but nothing too glaring, and of course, they are hidden under the coat.
