I will be listing various Cissy and Elise dolls as well as clothing and accessories. This doll is a phenomenal example of an early Cissy doll. It is so difficult to find them in this condition. She has the loveliest complexion with rosy beige undertones and velvety patina. DOLL: 1956 painted doll. Her body has a good heavy balanced weight and she hold a pose well. She was able to balance on her own for this photo shoot! CLOTHING: VHTF variation Dress is mint. It is made of a vibrant marine blue lightweight taffeta. Dress has not been washed or ironed. Sash is also mint with original flower. The coat has some yellowing, especially on the coin trim. The ivory satin also shows some foxxing. It should soak well in oxi, leaving up to new owner to decide. Coat may have been ironed. Replaced elastic in shoes. Can pose and balance unaided. No splits or cracks. FACE: What can I say??? I LOVE a factory finish on an early doll. The velvet finish is so warm snd inviting. Some photograph like a dream and she is one of those. She has been lightly wiped down to remove any dust. Her right cheek is original, left cheek very slightly airbrushed to match, sealed. Lips have had a satin overcoat. EYES: BLUE, yep, her eyes are still BLUE. Her eyes are clear… Not a drop of yellowing… All original eyebrows and painted underlashes. Her eyelashes are full. Replaced brush lashes on right eye, filled on left eye. WIG: blonde up-do with most of the original hair ties and pins, has not been combed out etc. Good shine, wig curl is factory set and tight. REFERENCE PAGES FROM CISSY! BOOK: pg 78-79, 216-217. NOTES: My home is pet free and smoke free. As the dolls are 60 plus years old I cannot verify their previous conditions. You can rest assured that dolls I sell are odor free unless otherwise stated. 30 MADAME ALEXANDER PLAYPAL SIZED TIMMIE TODDLER DOLL – VERY HTF. This listing is for a very hard to find Timmie Toddler doll. She is the 30 inch sized doll and would be a great addition to any Playpal type doll collection. Most often you see the smaller 23 inch sized girl – this girl is big enough to hang out with Penny and the rest of the gang or with big sisters Joanie and Janie! Her eyes are the flirty style eyes that move side to side as well as open and close. Her lashes are great with maybe literally a couple of lashes missing on her left eye (pictured – hard to see). These dolls seem prone to that as well, but hers are really pretty good! Her facial coloring is wonderful. Her hair is very silky and in the original style and, i think, the original bow. Her hair is a very light blond. Her body had some fading that is common to the Madame Alexander playpal style dolls. You’ll see it on her chest, and on her legs. She does have the speaker for the cry feature and she still does kind of “cry” sometimes, but it’s really just a noise and nothing more. You can also get her to “walk” some, but it is difficult, i think. All joints or stringing is good. I think her one leg may be a tad shorter than the other? She is marked on the back of her neck ALEXANDER DOLL 1960. Her head is difficult to move. She could use a gentle cleaning. Her clothes are original and in good condition. I felt like when i took them off, that they really had never been removed before – the tissue is still in her sleeves to puff them up. The clothes are in wonderful condition. The TIMMIE TODDLER tag is on the inside of the outfit. There are no holes or stains. I did replace the elastic in her bloomers. I’m not sure about the shoes – they are, at the very least, vintage. I did not remove them. She even has her original hand tag! ONLY TIMMIE IS INCLUDED IN THIS LISTING. PENNY IS ONLY THERE TO KEEP HER COMPANY. MADAME ALEXANDER 21 CISSY 1923 DOLL 66540 VHTF! 48/125 W CHILDREN & FUR STOLE. Up for sale is a very hard to find Madame Alexander 21 Cissy 1923 doll, model 66540. She is numbered 48 out of only 125 pieces made! She is a beautiful doll and comes with her fur stole and children. Her certificate and box are included. The box has a crease on one corner. She also comes with her original shipper. I will be putting everything inside of another box as well. I did find 4 loose beads in the box and a loose thread as shown in the last two photos. I only found the 8 tube beads (I found another after taking the photo). I did not find a round bead for the bottom of the strand. Her left elbow is swingy. If you have any questions, please ask. Very Hard To Find Rare Evening Gown on original Doll. 1955 Golden Caped Gown. Has a few issues. Missing the two metal brad on gown straps. Replaced gold cord on cape. Shoes and stocking not original. Slip has attached panties. Boning needs to be ironed. Dolls eyes are turned but hauntingly beautiful. The hair is excellent and original. She has a thin split on one knee as shown. Sun Dress of Organdy with val lace on the puffed sleeve and bodice. Rhinestones accent the bodice. This dress came with a floral print and the small bird print. This is the small. Print which is rarer. Very hard to find dress. Also included is the cream lace slip with tight elastic. My dolls are all around 50-80 years old. This handsome fellow is Prince Charming, a hard to fine doll by Madame Alexander, all original and in his original, correctly labeled box. This is the 15 Prince, a gentleman ready to greet his princess in brocade shirt with gold trim, stockings, garter and cap with feather. He is in beautiful condition with a few flaws. One of his original satin shoes is stained, there are some red rubs on the knees of his tights and on his cape some faint red rubs. Not sure what he came in contact with over the last 65 years. He clothing is crisp and clean otherwise with no other stains, soiling, holes or tears. His face is gorgeous with vibrant high coloring on his cheeks, big clear blue eyes, original red lips and full lashes. The Alexander tag is on the back of his shirt, which also has original gold tie. But it has a torn corner, and several other small tears at the top edges, the kid is tearing on one side and the other side flap has torn off but is still present.
