This is a terrific Madame Alexander-kins Doll wearing one of Wendy-Kins Party Outfits. She is BKW kins which means she is a bent knee walker 1950′s. She is in excellent condition with original brown triple stitched wig, bright natural coloring with brown brows, blue green flutter eyes, black under lashes, rosy cheeks and red lips. Her body is in excellent condition with arms that will hold a pose and walker works. Wendy is wearing a tagged organdy lace dress, might have been a little pinker when new, slip, undies, smooth bottom shoes and rayon socks. MADAME ALEXANDER RETIRED VINTAGE LITTLE WOMEN LOT. PLEASE LOOK AT ALL PICTURES. These were found at an estate sale in the bottom of a box of dolls. These beautiful Madame Alexander dolls are in Good condition for thier age. They are strung with elastic. 2 have white corded elastic and 2 have brown. There are some minor cracks at the sockets, and one is missing her thumb. I have included pictures of the ORIGINAL COSTUMES with the name tags at the collar. Sadly, the dresses are in very bad condition. I have 2 that are tagged MEG, 1 MARME, 1 BETH, and 1 JO.. Eyes open and close properly, though they are faded in color they are clear. Face paint is still intact. They are marked ALEX on the back of the neck area but it is very faint I suspect from age. Obviously, the wigs are ORIGINAL but in need of work. They need to be restyled on 2. The other 2 will need to be replaced. I do not know if the dresses ate the correct ones for the dolls I have here, however, they APPEAR to be correct from what I could find in research. These dolls need someone who can appreciate their age and value as well as skills in restoration of these type of dolls. I lightly ironed the dresses for identification. I have not washed them as I’m afraid it would damage them more than they are. These are 1950 era but the green plaid dress was listed as 1948 so I’m not certain of exactly who is who here. Lovely Vintage 1960 Madame Alexander CISSY Doll dressed in the pink taffeta dress from the Trunk set. I’ve decided to downsize some of my personal collection and this is one of my beloved Cissy’s. Her major flaws are the elastic in her shoes have no stretch left in them and that will need to be repaired. Also, there is a hole in one of her stockings at the toe, but I will replace the stockings. These on her are the originals. These flaws are shown in one of the pics provided. The color version of this dress is the mauve pink taffeta with horizontal pleats and mutton sleeves. All of the flowers are accounted for with full undergarments. Now, look at her hair! Lovely blue eyes that function freely. She has no splits and ready to display in your home. She will come with her white hatbox with medallion tag and contents. IF you have been looking for this costume in a while, don’t hesitate! I have over 40 Cissys among my other dolls. I would love for her to find a home that will enjoy her as much as I did.
