This is a Madame Alexander 8 hard-plastic doll. She is a straight leg walker Wendy and is Alice in Wonderland from 1954. Her face is as pretty as it can be. Her coloring is prettier and brighter in person than in the pictures. She is wearing a lovely tagged Alexander-kins dress and matching panties with a white organdy apron. She is wearing black Mary Jane shoes with fuzzy bottoms. This Alice is difficult to find in this rare outfit and in this wonderful condition. Such a delightful doll! Beautiful 1950s 20 inch Madame Alexander Tagged Alice in Wonderland Maggie doll. She has full lashes on eyes that open and close as they should. She has no breaks or splits and no odors. She is strung tight at the neck, shoulders and hips. She is wearing her original tagged dress and satin cape, vintage shoes and socks and her original under skirt with attached underwear. We offer for your consideration a gently displayed 1952 only vintage Madame Alexander 29 complete soft plastic vinyl and cloth Alice in Wonderland doll. She is stunning and was well preserved by the original owner. She was not a play doll and only a display doll. Her highly blushed cheeks are exquisite and perfectly round. Her hair is long, thick, and set in the original style with only a few fly away hairs you may want to restyle. He eyes are bright, engaging, and unclouded. She appears so fresh, clean, and displayable; she looks like she was made just 10 years ago. Her tagged dress is satiny, clean, and in amazing condition. The sleeve ends are still stretchy. The white apron pinafore is bright, white, and beautiful. She displays perfectly in her custom made, original, and tagged blue dress. Her dress and panties are bright and attractive clothes with well attached snap buttons on the dress. You can see her tights are most likely original- they fit her so perfectly; the waist is still stretchy, and they show no wear, discoloration, or age. Her original shiny black Mary Jane shoes fit her well, and they are totally intact and clean. The bottom of both of her shoes is a soft sole. She was displayed on a chair by the original adult collector. The doll was stored in a cool dark room in her pet and smoke free house. She is free of any odors, issues, or blemishes. Her blonde hair is still tied back in her original bow with a lovely style of long soft curls. Her hair is full and well attached to her wig cap. Her face is an even color with a bright and even blush. Her sleep eyes open and close easily; they are unclouded with totally intact eyelashes. She shows no noticeable age or discoloration. We left her as is to preserve her in the original found condition. She shows no issues or flaws. Her cloth body is sparkling in the condition and absolutely clean and gloroius. Her coloration is much more bright and blushed than she appears in her photos. She is complete with no chews, splits, or obvious damage. She does not have any open seams or major noticeable detracting negatives. Her hair is uncut and close to the original style. We listed two other Edith/ Kelly/ Marybel face dolls this week from the same collection. She is truly one of a kind in her condition. Her face is colored exactly the same as her limbs. Her lips and cheeks are highly blushed. Her lips are full and pink. She appears flawless until I really scrutinized her. In one sof the photos you may see several smudges or marks on the left side of her forehead. I did not even notice until my daughter pointed it out. She has a real small minor thinned spot, or hole, on the top of her tights near the waist. The tights are thick and strong, so it does not affect the integrity of her bright white tights. She also has a small smudge or mark on the top back of one of her arms. Thank goodness for the young eyes of our 13 gear-old daughter. She pointed out these little unnoticeable blemishes. This doll is one of hundreds of dolls from an adult lady collector. She is moving and downsizing her vast doll collection. Many of the these dolls are from the 1920s through the 1960s; they may show some minor age for their age because they are between 100 and 60 years of age. Many of these were from the original owner’s collection of displayed, but not played with, dolls. Some of the older dolls were from her mother’s collection. Very clean, could use a bit of styling. Her hair looks like it has been reset. Maybe cut in the back. Still a pretty vintage doll. My dolls are all around 50-80 years old. Vintage 1930′s Mme Alexander 13 Alice in Wonderland Doll Wendy Ann AO. Scroll down for larger views. She was an only child who had wonderful dolls, carefully stored for many years. This doll is’Alice in Wonderland’ using the Wendy-Ann mold. She is 13” high, all composition, jointed at the neck, shoulders, waist and hips. Made in the mid to late 1930′s. Marked: Wendy-Ann Madame Alexander New York. The doll has a wonderful face with original paint, no re-paint or touch-ups, nice coloring, blue sleep eyes, lashes painted below her eyes, gray shadow, and intact sable lashes. Also ruby lips and rosy cheeks. She has her original dark-blonde human hair wig, still in the original curled set with original blue bow. The body is also excellent, with original paint and nice coloring. Her fingers, knees & elbows are still rosy. Just a little rough edge where her waist twists. Her stringing is fine. The doll wears her original tagged outfit. Marked: Alice in Wonderland, Madame Alexander. This includes a pretty blue & white dotted dress with white trim, and an attached petticoat, a white ruffled organdy apron, white lace-trimmed panties, white rayon socks, and black oil-cloth side-snap shoes. The outfit is excellent! One shoe does have a break in the strap where the shoe would snap. She came from Z. Utah’s premiere department store long gone for many years. Vintage 1947 18 Composition Madame Alexander A/O Alice in Wonderland Doll. This doll wears her original Alice in Wonderland costume from 1947. Although it appears that the tag has been cut off – it is an easily recognizable outfit. Alice also has her original wig and sleep eyes. Only her hair ribbon has been replaced. The doll has been cleaned and craze controlled due to light crazing. Alice has a very nice condition body and pretty face. She is all composition and is jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips. She has clear grey/blue sleep eyes with thick brush lashes. Her face paint includes eye shadow and single stroke eyebrows, painted lower lashes, light cheek blush and painted closed mouth. She is a “Margaret face” Alexander doll with. Original blushing on her hands and knees. Her original mohair wig is styled. With short bangs, pulled back with a black ribbon in the typical Alice in Wonderland style. This doll has had a very light restoration, by me. That means that she has been cleaned, craze controlled and sealed. Her face paint has not been touched up. Her fingers and toes are perfect and have not been repaired. She has just been restrung – fairly loosely because composition dolls that are strung too tightly develop side head or torso cracks from the stress. Her costume is all original and had been recently laundered and it has been recently pressed. One snap on a shoe was repaired with tape under the strap. Her hair ribbon is a replacement. Lovely Alice is ready to join your collection! MARK: ALEXANDER on head and back. Very Good very lightly restored condition. Nicely painted facial features. Clear sleep eyes with thick lashes. Wearing her thick original, mohair wig which is thinning on the ends. She can stand and pose. Perfect fingers and toes without any repairs or rebuilds. No cracks, Light to moderate crazing, No flaking, lifting, chips or large stains. Costume is all original and in good condition. The blue dress looks faded. Dress is not tagged – but it looks like the remnant of a tag where it was cutoff the back of the dress. Costume is in good condition. Apron has one small hole in ron (pictured) Shoes have one side snap the has been repaired – and it does not open and close. (pictured) Other shoe snap works using care. Missing her original box. NMIB Madame Alexander Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland Alice Liddell 10 Doll #69940. This elegant doll is brand new from smoke-free store inventory and mint in original box. Featured photos are of actual doll for sale. Alice Pleasance Liddell was the inspiration for the classic fairy tale, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Lewis Carroll first told the story of Alice’s adventures to the three Liddell sisters at a river picnic. Upon Alice’s plea, he wrote it down for her also including his own hand drawn illustrations. Thus, in 1864, the original version of the story was complete, entitled Alice’s Adventures Under Ground. Bustles and elaborate drapery characterize dresses of the early 1870′s. Alice is wearing a fashionable dress with trimmed, draped overskirts supported by a bustle and a petticoat. Her jacket has a short-waisted, fitted bodice that flares over the hips and is trimmed with ribbon bow in the front. Alice’s hair is in a day style of loose curls pulled up into a loose chignon at the top of her head. She also wears bangs which were considered very fashionable.
