This is a beautiful Cissy wearing the yellow floral taffeta dress. She is not without problems. Her body has red stains on her leg and panties and petticoat slip. Her dress displays beautiful but did have substantial moth damage in the front. I have repaired it to the best of my abilities and it is not very noticeable at all, look at pictures closely. Her sandals have been replaced because elastic on her original set have stretched with age. Her jewelry is all original along with the cameo on her bodice. All in all she displays beautifully and would be a wonderful addition to your collection. Offered here is the yellow wreath dress from 1957, which was a boxed extra for Madame Alexander Cissy. This dress has been seen with several different sashes, but this dress has the yellow moire taffeta sash, which was one of the prettiest, in my opinion. The puffed sleeves have their original good elastic, and the five square snaps that close the back are all secure. Has a nice, bright tag that indicates no laundering, but the original light polish to the fabric seems mostly gone–likely due to pressing at times over the last 60 years. Is in very good condition with no issues noted and would look great on your Cissy with a nice can-can to make it stand out. Please ask any questions, and thank you for looking. 1952 Madame Alexander Little Women AMY with very rare yellow Madame Alexander BOX with gold FASHION ACADEMY AWARD sticker still on it. Doll is in excellent condition, looks like it has never been out of the box, with the exception of one of the small black bows being off one of the shoes, shown in photo. 20 Cissy Madame Alexander W/Tagged Yellow Taffeta Floral Dress- 1950s. Does have a vintage odor on doll clothing- this doll is over 60 yrs old so an odor should be expected. Wig is the glue on wig- still has spanner bar across top of head. I do believe her earrings have been broke off(the part that hangs down). Have not tried to remove any marks on the doll. This is a beautiful vintage Madame Alexander Cissette who still retain all of her original vivid facial features and highly blushed cheeks. Her longer strawberry blond hair has a few fly away’s but has never been combed out. She wears a lovely tagged yellow dotted swiss dress with faux rhinestone buttons. Val lace trims the bodice and three quarter sleeve cuffs. The dress snaps down the back. The dress is in excellent condition with no soil or damage. Under her dress she wears a yellow cotton lace trimmed Madame Alexander slip and perfect taffeta lace trimmed panties and her vintage seamed hose, all in excellent condition. She also wears a pair of custom matching high heels in pastel yellow with matching elastic and cream satin insoles. While in my collection I added a little rhinestone bracelet, a custom hat with beautiful little flowers & stamens all in hues of yellow and white. All of the flowers are strictly vintage and are clean and bright. She does not have pieced ears and the little pearls I applied are on with a rubber type glue that comes right off and does no damage, and leaves no marks on the doll what so ever. The only note worthy flaw is that her eyes need a little help opening and closing. She is a stunning doll in a beautiful outfit. I have also included the little custom Haute Couture hatbox. Madame Alexander 1955 Cissy in Yellow Slipper Satin Evening Gown. This beautiful (first year) Cissy wears a very full ball gown featuring a dropped waist that is longer in the back. She has thick auburn hair pulled back with original spanner bar. She wears a hooped petticoat with attached panties and gold sandals and carries a muff of tulle with red roses. Everything is original and dress is tagged. Her only flaws are slight stains, one in front and one in back near hemline of skirt. I’ve tried to photograph without much luck. Satin is not the easiest to photograph with all the shimmers and shadows. Both are hardly noticeable if you are looking for them and she displays beautifully. She wears faux diamond necklace, earrings and bracelet. Elastic in her petticoat/panty and in her shoes has been replaced, as I don’t like to see sagging elastic. She is tightly strung and all joints work well. There are no splits, cracks or damage. This doll comes from my smoke-free home.
