1990′s Rare Limited edition Madame Alexander Dolls. Part of the Romance Collection, Featuring Beauty and The Beast. Both dolls have their ORIGINAL tags, Along with the original box and cards (see pictures for tags, boxes and cards). The Beast Has a removable Mask (see in next slides). This is a full and complete ORIGINAL and UNUSED set with EVERYTHING included. Perfect condition, No cracks, tears, missing parts or chips. The box is in near perfect condition but does have some signs of aging on the corners. (white cracks and lines). But the dolls are in perfect condition. This is a beautiful example of a. Vintage 1950s Madame Alexander “Maggie” doll. Alexander dolls from this era are highly collectible, known for their high-quality hard plastic construction, expressive faces, and elaborate clothing. Her outfit was hand-made by noted doll maker Harriet Wolford in the 1990s. The “Maggie” face, introduced in the late 1940s and popular through the 1950s. It features chubby cheeks, large blue sleeping eyes (with real upper lashes and painted lower ones), a closed mouth with rosy lips, and a sweet, wide-eyed innocent expression. Many collectors adore this mold for its charming, childlike look-distinct from the earlier “Margaret” face (which is similar but slightly different) or the more glamorous “Cissy” face. Blonde wavy mohair wig with bangs and a ribbon bow. Hard plastic, jointed (at neck, shoulders, and hips), a “walker” body that allows the head to turn side-to-side when the legs move. The pink sheer organdy dress with lace trim, ruffled layers, puffed sleeves, and dotted underskirt is a classic 1950s Madame Alexander style.
