Hi, Here is a pretty Cissy doll by Madame Alexander who was made in approximately 1960. She stands about 21 tall and is made of hard plastic with the one piece arms that some Cissy dolls have. She looks like she is ready for the ball, very sweet and elegant. Cissy is dressed in her pink fluffy tulle gown which is tagged , and she has her original Cissy panties, slip, shoes and gloves. Her hair is a strawberry blonde or reddish color, it seems to be close to the original set with a bar at the top. She has a few issues I need to describe, there is a split on one of her lower thighs which is reinforced but not repaired, where her neck swivels there is a felt cushion that is not original, please see the pictures, also her vintage pink velvet hair bow is replaced, and the two under layers of tulle are replaced but the top layer showing is the original. The dress is made of cotton organdy with layers of tulle over the organdy which is intact with one reinforced 2 hole inside. Also her flower decorations are original, but her circle rhinestone earrings are replacements to match her originals, she does come with one of her original earrings, which will be sent along in her package. This Cissy doll has really pretty clear eyes with lashes, the lashes have a small nick on one side, please see the photos. Her high heels have light pink elastic which is cut and tied around her ankle to tighten the fit. She makes such a pretty display, the tulle on her dress is so soft, very delicate and beautiful, I believe she is supposed to have a ring and some bracelets, but she has a replaced ring and only one bracelet which is not original but looks pretty. Here for your consideration is a doll called Margot Ballerina although I’ve also seen her referred to as Trina Ballerina. She was produced by the Madame Alexander doll company in the 1950′s. This ballerina has the Maggie face known for her big round eyes and sweet innocent expression. Margot/Trina stands 18 tall. She is a hard plastic doll with a swivel head and is jointed at the shoulders and hips. She is a strung doll and her stringing is nice and tight. Her body is in excellent vintage condition. Her face paint is lovely, with delicately painted brows and lower lashes. She has big blue eyes with full brush lashes, none missing, and her sleep eyes function as they should. She has red lips and lightly blushed cheeks. The floss wig on this doll is just about perfect. Hardly a hair out of place. Her hair is styled in a chignon and held in place with the original black net snood. My best guess is that the hair piece is not original but I’m not positive. The tulle tutu skirt is a deep red with a few white flowers scattered about. Fortunately it is two layers and is very full because there are several areas of shredding and/or holes. It is very fragile. That being said, the deterioration is not very evident when the doll is on display because of the natural folds in the skirt. The bodice is lighter than the skirt with some areas of discoloration. The tag is no longer present. The ballet shoes are also in excellent vintage condition. Nice bright color, and little, if any, wear. There are no odors. Please ask any questions you may have in case I missed something important to you. Thank you for your interest! She has open and close sleep eyes in perfect working condition. Her eyes are nice and bright as is her facial coloring. She is wearing her all original dress, purse, shoes and nylons.
