Madame Alexander-kins tagged Wendy Doll Has Fun Wearing Black Taffeta Pinafore (c625). This is a lovely doll made by the Madame Alexander Doll Company in 1956. She is a bent knee walker and has a triple stitch tosca wig. She stands on her own and holds position. Her walker works great- and she is strung well. No problems with her body – cracks or stains, etc. She have perfect face coloring and appears to have never been played with. Her outfit is excellent and tagged. No moth holes, all snaps work. She wears a darling green oxide colored hat with original flowers. The elastic is still excellent. The dress is coral pink organdy and tagged. The pinafore has original matching flowers to the hat. She has a white star embroidered half slip and matching cotton panties. Her socks are nylon white with fuzzy sole side snap mary jane shoes. NO fading or damage to mention, she is what I would consider perfect and never displayed or played with. Her sleep eyes are perfectly working. She is an excellent doll. Her black pinafore sticks up a bit in the front. The box is numbered 577, and as I found her from a local estate, I do not know if the box is original but appears that she has never left it. She is priced 5.95 on the box and in pencil and someone wrote on her leg in pencil as well- 5.95.
