Happy New Year, Maggie! This could be your lucky year! Say hello to the most gorgeous Maggie on the planet of course that’s just MY opinion – she is my most favorite Maggie EVER! This 18 beauty is wearing her original dress, a beautiful off-white front-pleated shirt-waist with three burgundy studs down the front placket, & two at the cuff of each puffed sleeve. One stud is missing on the back of the right sleeve. Maggie’s pretty belt is replaced with the same color as the original, and the original crocheted hanky peeks out from the front pocket. Dress closure is at the back with three square snaps. This dress has some very, very slight age darkening, but as you can see by the photos it’s close to invisible. There are no rips, holes or tears and the dress is crisply tagged Maggie. Underneath Maggie wears nylon panties, and on her feet are her original socks & shoes. There is a hole in the heel of the right sock – completely inside her shoe. Maggie has an exquisite face… Her features & coloring are beautiful; her blush has been refreshed. She has a very rare colored wig – brunette with a splash of burgundy… Which of course matches her dress accessories! Her eyes have full lashes and are gorgeous clear “Maggie blue-green, ” another nod to a perfect pairing with her pretty face-framing curls. She has no splits, cracks or odors. She comes in a box labeled 576 blonde and it is believed to be the original box this darling doll came in. This beautiful BKW has super high coloring that is all original and perfection. She has beautiful blonde hair that is shiny and in the original set. Her stringing is all original and she has no stains or cracks to her body. She comes wearing a rare purple pinafore and yellow dress. Both pieces have a super polished cotton shine to them and have no holes, stains, tears or odors. Under her dress she wears a beautiful organdy slip and bloomers both of which have nice tight original stretch. She comes wearing fuzzy bottom white shoes and socks. The shoes are in really good condition but have a few stray marks here and there. Lastly is her fabulous purple hat with yellow cabbage roses. It is attached to her head with a madame alexander pin and does not look to have ever had chin strap. The box shows normal wear and tear but is in overall good shape. Full of vintage antique dolls and accessories from the 1900s-60s there are all different brands of dolls from. And some German dolls. These dolls are made of bisque, composition, hard plastic. They seem to be in good condition I don’t see any that are broke, but they are dirty with a stench from being stored, they will clean up very nice I imagine. Some of these dolls are very old. Here today is an elegant all original Queen Elizabeth Cissy doll made by Madame Alexander in 1956. Cissy is wearing her beautiful tagged ivory ribbon patterned satin fabric Queen Elizabeth gown closing in the back with 5 original intact snaps. The skirt portion of the gown is unlined, but she wears her original ivory taffeta hoop slip with attached panties for the added fullness. Attached to the gown is the original blue moire taffeta sash decorated with rhinestones, a medallion with ruby stone, silver shoulder circlet and a pearl circlet attached at the waistline. Cissy is wearing her original fingerless ivory gloves with 3 gold tone stretch bracelets, 2 with clear rhinestones and 1 with clear and ruby rhinestones and her faux diamond ring. She is also wearing her correct original pearl and clear rhinestone earrings and her graduated faux pearl necklace. To complete Cissy’s beautiful outfit she is wearing her seamed nylon stockings and her gold tone elastic strap high heels. Cissy is wearing her ash blonde wig in its beautiful original set. Her hair appears to have never been combed still retaining the hair net on the bottom back curls. She has a gorgeous painted face with beautiful blushed cheeks, stroked brown brows, painted brown lower lashes and tiny red painted lips. Cissy has crystal clear open and close blue/green eyes with her complete full set of hair eyelashes. Although Cissy is free of any unwanted marks anywhere on her she could use a very light sponge bath on her arms and hands. She has the original blush on the back of her hands and knees. I don’t believe she has any joint issues, she can stand and pose on her own. She has all of her fingers and toes and does not have any split or cracked joints. Although Cissy and her Queen outfit are gorgeous that display beautifully the outfit does have some issues. The fingerless gloves have a couple of small holes covered by the bracelets, one of the bracelets has been re-inforced with a gold thread in one area (does have some weak areas), a small hole in the attached panties as shown in the pictures, the hoop slip needs to be reshaped but otherwise great, and the gown has a couple of spots on the skirt portion near the back that blend into the gathers that appear they can probably be cleaned. The sash and gown need to be dry-cleaned as I can not rule out the possibility of being exposed to smoke at some time before I acquired her. She is as minty as a 85+ year old doll could be. Her face, arms, and legs are flawless with no crazing. I did not take off her dress to preserve her originality but I’m sure that her body is flawless too. She still has blush on her hands and knees. She has no odors. She can stand on her own and her head and arms as poseable. Her tagged dress is mint and crisp. I looked through a couple of Shirley books and I can’t find this dress style anywhere. Her generic box is marked “green/window”. Probably supposed to be a store window display but it doesn’t look like she has been displayed at all. Box shows age with stains and shelfwear. Do not missed this chance to own a truly rare and exceptionally beautiful Shirley Temple doll. I also accept other forms of payments.
