Madame Alexander Dolls

Featured here is a beautiful “Big Binnie Winnie” Walker doll in a lovely blue gown to compliment her very blue eyes. She stands 24 inches tall without her hat. Her walker mechanism works very well, when you move her legs her head turns nicely from side to side; see photos. She has thick dark brown hair and bangs, no missing hair, in its original set of short shoulder length curls. She has very blue blue eyes and rosy cheeks and rosebud lips. She has all her eye lashes! I just noticed a light dappling across her forehead, not readily noticeable but I did want to mention it. I missed it until I looked closely at one of my photo close-ups. This doll does have joint rubs and a few marks on her legs and arms (see next to last photo) — she is not perfect but in very good condition for her age. I have dressed her in a vintage doll outfit, complete with picture hat and flower basket. This is a very sweet doll in a lovely outfit with wonderful accessories, for the vintage doll collector. Her dress and slips have been laundered and pressed; they are very clean. There is no odor at all with this doll. This brunette beauty is dressed in a lovely long blue cotton gown with puffed sleeves, good elastic in the sleeves, and lace trimmed ruffles and skirt. She has a nosegay of flowers tied at her waist with a long satin ribbon. There is one tiny dark spot on her dress, behind her basket, which did not come out in washing. Otherwise the dress and slips are in very good condition for their age. She carries a vintage wicker basket with vintage flowers in it, which comes with a pink ribbon to tie to her wrist. She also wears a very rare vintage necklace of GRADUATED PEARLS; this necklace has a tiny rhinestone clasp like those found on bride necklaces in the 1950s, with a slip in and slide metal hook at the back of her neck. Beneath her skirt she has two long formal length slips, one is white cotton and edged in the same lace as the dress; the other is a stiff tulle with many layers of lace. The latter is very full and stiff and gives the dress and other slip a lot of strut. The tulle slip has an elastic tie at the waist; the cotton slip is held closed with a large pin. She also wears a pair of lovely white cotton pantaloons with tiny blue bows and edged in light blue heart lace; she wears vintage white Fairyland rubber shoes with side straps, with their rubber nubs intact to button closed. These shoes have been soaked and bleached and are very clean. Her large Southern Belle hat is a vintage straw with yellow velvet bow and ribbon and vintage forget me not flowers and roses. It fits her head well and can be posed straight or on an angle as shown in the photos — to frame her lovely face. Her vintage brunette wig under her hat is very full and thick and beautiful so this doll can be displayed nicely with her hat on or with her hat carried in her hand, as shown in the photos. No props in the photos are included with this doll; the large metal doll stand is not included. Has some age wear but looks unplayed with to me, never been undressed all original, nice make up, tightly strung, very unusual color for outfit, original flower head piece, I just noticed she does have 3 tiny white spots on her forehead. This doll is a Madame Alexander Cissy, around 20 inches tall, jointed at the neck, legs, elbows and knees. She was recently cleaned and arms and legs were restrung. She is marked Alexander at the back of the head. This doll is all original: original facial finish, original high color blush, and original hairstyle. She has no splits or cracks anywhere that I can see. Her legs have been restrung with a professional band and her head is secure. The left side of the wig has a slight space where you can see the wig cap. Her eyes still open and close. No odors or pets. This Romancing the Railway Yardley 21 Cissy of the Madame Alexander Collection, is a beautiful throwback in time. She was introduced in the 2004 collection, and is a limited Edition piece of 116/200.
