Vintage 1957 Mme Alexander ELISE Bride Doll AO w/ Hangtag in Box. Scroll down for larger views. This doll is an Elise Bride, made by Madame Alexander in 1957, the first year of the Elise Bride dolls. She is 16 1/2” high, jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbow, hips, knees & ankles. She has a gorgeous hard plastic Elise face. The coloring is wonderful with original paint, blue sleep eyes, intact lashes, feathered brows, lashes painted below her eyes, ruby lips, and very rosy cheeks. Her hair is auburn, still in the original curled set. The body is also excellent, hard plastic with vinyl over-arms and all joints working. She has a fashion doll body with a bust and high heel/flat feet. Marked: Alexander on her neck. Elise wears her original tagged bridal gown. The gown is white tulle with a satin sash, worn over a crispy white petticoat, white taffeta panties, seamed hose, a cute garter, and silver elastic strap high heel shoes. On her head is a chapel-length veil with a pink & white floral head band. She holds her matching floral bouquet, and wears her original pearl necklace & earrings, and a tiny wedding ring. She also comes with her original hang tag. Elise comes in her original box (#1740). The box and label are in very good condition. The original owners name (Julie) is written on the label. Everything about this doll is wonderful. She is clean, bright, and beautiful. Just slightly loose at the arms and loose elastic on her shoes. Otherwise pretty much mint condition. Vintage 1937-42 Madame Alexander Scarlett O’Hara 11 Composition Doll. She is in very nice vintage condition. The only flaw I found on her is her right eye is missing it’s eyelashes and she has a rub on the tip of her nose. Her composition appears to be very nice with no cracks or crazing. She has very nice face color and hair in original set. Her outfit is in all original condition and appears to be excellent with no damage or stains. I noticed on her white cotton slip some of the wire has become unraveled in an area, just a few inches maybe (shown in the close up of her shoes). I noticed her fingernails are painted. I’m not sure if that is how she came or if someone painted them. She is wearing green leatherette side snap shoes. One of the heels is missing on one (shown). Overall, she is just lovely doll. 1950′s Madame Alexander Cissy 21 Brown Hair dressed in Chemise & Gown. Of course THAT BOAT has SAILED!!!!!!! Her condition is vintage but arms and legs are attached & bend, eyes open & close, eye lashes still there, hair good condition. Ball gown has a 2 rip in front… Other wise pretty great gown. And sadly her high heel shoes are pretty far gone. I dressed &undressed this gal often in the late 50′s. She has gorgeous matte complexion with blushed cheeks and red lips. Her strawberry blonde hair is in its original style with upswept sides and original barrette. Her sleep eyes are clear with no missing lashes, a gorgeous blue/hazel color and work perfectly when layed down. No tears, cracks or splits on her body. Everything seems to be tight. There are a few minor rub marks around her neck area and a couple very small light red marks on her left arm/hand which I havnt tried to clean but could probably be removed w the right cleaner. She comes wearing an original tagged navy blue taffeta dress with a rhinestone dangled clock/watch still attached which is hard to find!! Original underwear w a couple worn spots where they bunch up at her legs and original bralette that has been safety pinned in back to make straps tighter. Her dress is in very nice condition. I see no tears, holes or stains. She does not come with any shoes. This is a gorgeous Cissy doll! Here is a harder to find 1950s Madame Alexander Flora McFlimsey. She is 14 and all original with her tag and curler box still attached to her wrist. She is in excellent condition with good color. The only thing that keeps me from calling her mint is a couple of dots in the vinyl under her lip. The clothing is crisp and clean.
