Listed for sale is a lovely antique original Madame Alexander doll, made circa 1930s. This doll stands 19 and is marked on her neck Madame Alexander. Her character is Princess Elizabeth a very popular child figure for the 1930s and eventually becoming Queen Elizabeth. Her composition is in excellent original condition, beautiful finish and coloring, having no crazing or breaks. (a 10 out of 10) Her eyes are clear and her eye lashes are full. Her human hair blonde wig is full and in its original style. (3 gold barretts) She is wearing her original organdy dress with lace trim and newer shoes/socks. The dress is in fair to good condition, no breaks and clean, however there are some age spots. This doll is in wonderful original condition and is a true collector’s item. Seven and one-half tall, 1935 Madame Alexander Dionne Quintuplets. Doll represent their 1st birthday. Original dress(all have tags). Pins with each of their names on them. A little paint missing on heads. Beautiful composition head, arms and legs there is some paint lost very little crazing. All 5 have replacement hats, booties, and pins with their names on them. In the Cissy files book, it states that this outfit is a V-neck sun suit in a new design. Instead of smocking, these sun suits are fitted through the bodice and close in back with 3 snaps. They are trimmed at the neck and leg openings with rickrack. It also states that the outfit is a boxed extra and RARE. The cabana set from 1957 states Cabana style over-skirt with self tie in front also RARE. The book also describes this hat that is very rare straw hat with fruit. It also shows a picture of this hat. Vintage Madame Alexander Bride Doll Margaret Face Stunning! This lovely doll has the Margaret face with blue sleep eyes and fantastic auburn saran hair. She is a walker and will move her head from side to side. She is wearing her ORIGINAL tagged clothes that consist of a long veil adorned with silk flowers, satin gown with toile overlay, satin undergarment, two thigh-high nylons (pin tip size snag on one knee below garter), and satin center-snap shoes. She also has a pearl necklace that is probably not original to her. Her blue sleep eyes work perfectly and the eyelashes are 100% intact. No stains, splits, cracks, or chips to the doll or her lovely outfit. She has been carefully stored for many years until presented to you all this week! NO restorations, repairs, cleaning have been done to this doll. She is picture perfect and will make a lovely addition to your doll collection. She is 15 tall. Stock Item # is 1700. She is in very nice condition, with high color face paint. No rubs or imperfections. She is in remarkable condition for being over 60 years old! Clear eyes that open and close easily. Her hair is in its original hairdo, with original hairbow and hair pins. Bending joints at elbows , ankles, and knees all appear to be tight and functional. Tight to sight, I did not give her a good workout since she is in great shape and didnt want to damage her. No odors or musty smells. This was from the original owner who received her as a young teen. Past her prime of playing with dolls, so she was not played with. This Elise #1700 comes in her original lace chemise. With original stockings with seams up the back. She has her original pearl drop earrings and original pearl bracelet with pearl heart charm. Her original pink satin hairbow is still in place. As a fun addition, this doll was wearing the white sheer tricot gloves edged with lace. A bonus to any collector. Her original box is included. Has the No 1700 on the label. The box had been used to store additional doll clothing over the years, and so is a bit rough. Also included as bonus items: original shoes with silver heel platforms and elastic straps…… Era straw hat with original vintage fabric flowers (did not repair one straw edge that could be tightened) , a small bouquet of vintage fabric flowers, and a dress that may or may not be an original MA dress. It is aqua sheer voille fabric with flocked white accents. Looks very authentic, but I have not been able to document it. Please review my description, and my photos of her. She is not returnable. But I will tell you, if I collected this era of doll, she would definitely stay in my collection. I’ve never seen one this beautiful. It will be packaged for safe arrival to your home. This set is so cute. Cissy has several outfits with all the things she needs to go on vacation. I checked and all the items that are listed in the catalog are here. The clothes in the trunk look like they were folded from the factory. Shoes still in plastic etc. This doll has no box, but her COA is in the trunk. The catalog states she has 2 wigs. It shows her wearing a blonde wig, and with her other outfit wearing a brunette wig. She actually has 3 wigs. She seems to be wearing a honey blonde wig and the other 2 wigs are in the trunk. Not sure how you switch wigs, I dont want to mess with the hair. She said she believes the doll I have is actually morning ritual Cissy. She does look like the Yardley morning ritual Cissy without the robe, slippers etc. Which makes sense, morning ritual Wig is permanent. Cant change out wigs.
