Old Madame Alexander Baby Jane Doll from the 1930s. She has a mohair wig, sleep eyes with lashes and open mouth with teeth. Her face is very nice for her age. I found usual crazing (with magnifier), and only 1 small crack starting on her face as shown in pictures. She is a 16 strung composition doll. But needs to be restrung. She is marked Baby Jane Reg Alexander on her neck. She does have some paint loss in places, see pictures, and her eyes are crackled/crazed as shown. Very Nice Composition Doll. This item is in excellent, undisplayed condition. There are no stains or tears and is gorgeous! The doll is NOT for sale. This outstanding ensemble was made by an unknown seamstress. I cannot find a tag to give her/him credit. Hopefully they will see this and let me know so I can share with you. The dress is floor length. Please forgive my pitiful attempts at photographing this because I haven’t done it justice. It is beyonf description gorgeous! It has a dark lilac tulle over a lavender organdy dress with capped sleeves. There are two rhinestones over a tulle adornment on the neckline. Flowers grace the shoulders as well as a floral swag down the left side from the waist. A pink taffeta petticoat with a ruffled tulle that matches the dress is included. Finally, lavender gauntlets and an almost purple velvet hair bow with pins to attach it, see pic. This comes from a smoke-free home. Thank you for looking. This is a 21 (approximately) Gorgeous Madame Alexander Cissy doll. She is from 1956 #2025. She is dressed in a black velvet skirt(very small hole in back of skirt that cant be seen when displayed see picture) and Cream color top. Skirt has all rhinestones on attached pink belt. She is in beautiful condition. Comes with crispy slip, panties, nylons, unstretched pink heels and ring. Her shiney blonde hair is in original set with hat that matches the skirt, no holes in netting on hat. Her face paint is beautiful with full lashes top and bottom, good brows, rosey cheeks and dark pink coral lips. Stringing seems good and she holds a pose. She has her original dog with tag on the bottom that says Made In Germany and black velvet leash. It is hard to find dolls in this wonderful condition any more. I have had her in my collection for a very long time. She is over 60 years old but doesnt look it. Cissy is clean and has no odors, stains, splits or cracks. She has had professional split repair done to the top of both legs. She has new stringing to her head and arms. Her arms are a very nice match and have no splits to the rubber. She has an original Cissy honey blonde wig that is clean and reset. She has pretty blue eyes that have just a hint of amber. The eyes have had lashes repaired and the eyes have been reset. They open perfect, but are just a bit shy of closing all the way. She has had blush applied and a UV protectant matte finish applied to her face. She has no earring holes. Cissy’s new outfit consists of a red, white and aqua seersucker cotton dress, new slip, vintage panties (not Cissy issue), Cissy nylons, new aqua elastic shoes, a cute little aqua stone ring, and a new straw hat with veiling and flowers across the top. Her dress has a fully lined bodice in the same cute aqua check as her slip is made of, waist is serged, bodice closes with 4 square snaps, and the front of the dress has vintage Tiffany style crystals. The bodice has bias trim around the armholes, and a hand sewn 2 hem on the skirt. The checked slip has gathered tulle on the inside and outside of the slip, with red, vintage rick rack on the outside. As we’ve come to know, Cissy never disappoints! This beauty is wearing original Cissy dress #21-63, released in 1955. Made with a beautiful blue dotted Swiss organdy, the dress has a flattering square neckline, trimmed with threaded black velvet ribbon & val lace. The pretty net puffed sleeves, also trimmed in val lace, are a soft touch. Two small velvet bows punctuate the waistline; the dress closes at the back with three square snaps. This dress is untagged, and offers a possibility that it might in error never have had a tag. With strong light and magnifier, I searched every stitch of every seam and every spot (neckline & other) with trim. Nowhere is there a tag remnant, open seam, restitched seam or otherwise. This dress is in outstanding condition, no spots, rips, holes or tears, and although I can’t be 100% positive, I’d venture to say it’s never been washed. Underneath, Cissy wears a new white can-can slip with matching panties, vintage hosiery, and on her feet black sandals.
