Up for sale is a Vintage Madame Alexander Cissy Doll from 1955. She is 20 tall with a hard plastic body and vinyl sleeved arms. She is jointed at the neck, shoulders, elbows , hips and knees. She has Stunning crystal blue sleep eyes, with full lashes, perfect rosy cheeks, red lips and blonde hair in the curly bob style. She has the early painted face and her coloring is amazing!!! She is wearing ” Summer Gown” from 1955. An airy puffed sleeve gown of white cotton organdy. The bodice is trimmed with insertion lace and red satin ribbon. The dress skirt is trimmed in Val lace and tiny red roses. She carries a red satin drawstring purse, has her ” diamond” ring and wears a gorgeous horsehair hat. Her dress is lined in taffeta and she has a tulle hoop petticoat, satin panties, seamed stockings and red high heel shoes. The tagged dress is not as white as it once was and has a small age spot here and there. It has No damage, repairs or odors. She is Simply a Stunning Early Cissy!! She came from a private collection and was kept in a climate controlled, pet and smoke free environment. She has no splits, cracks or repairs. She is All Original and in Excellent Condition. This pretty vintage Margie/Marjorie by Belle Doll & Toy Co. Is 20 inches tall and was made to compete with Cissy and other 20-inch fashion dolls of the late 1950s. She is all hard plastic except for her soft vinyl face. She’s often called a Cissy look-alike. She appears to be a walker, as her legs move forward and backward like a walker doll, but her head does not turn. She has joints at the head, shoulders, hips and knees. Her face coloring is original, and her blue eyes open and close well. All lashes are present. She has pierced ears and wears her original pearl earrings (no green ear). Her dark blonde hair is rooted and in its original style. Her fingernails and toenails have their original paint. She wears a wonderful dress of vintage fuschia faille (so pretty) done in a simple high-fashion style with dropped waist that is banded and accented with a fabric bow. Plain neckline that opens toward the bust, dolman sleeves with small inside openings. The skirt is box pleated and hangs so nicely. The bodice is fully lined in fuschia taffeta, and four square snaps close the back of the dress. It was custom made by “Brambletwig” and is tagged. A real work of art in my opinion. The hat was custom made especially for this dress by rtrorich (Richard Originals). It is a bucket style with vintage fuschia flowers and raspberry-colored veiling, which can be worn over the face or pushed up. Under the dress, Margie wears a vintage Premier slip that was modified somewhere along the way to fit wider hops like Margie has. It has a pretty satin inset in the back that opens all the way down with snaps. The elastic straps are just a tad long, but stay up fine. A petticoat could be added for more fullness, but I liked the look with less fullness to show off the pretty pleats of the skirt better. Margie wears vintage pink nylon panties and vintage seamed stockings with no issues save a tiny pinhole at the top of the left one. She wears vintage high heels with black bases and replaced elastic in fuschia. Other accessories include a three-strand vintage pearl necklace (which I think was actually a lady’s bracelet) and vintage nylon gloves in dark pink. The lace trim is more reddish in color. They are in good condition. The 20-inch Belle Margie/Marjorie dolls are not easily found, especially in good condition. Her wonderful costume was actually made for Cissy, but I liked it even better on Margie, so she has worn the outfit in my glass doll cabinet for quite some time. Downsizing now, so will be offering some of my favorites as I can bear to part with them. My home is non-smoking, and I thank you for viewing this listing. Cissy is off for a summer stroll with her friends… Wearing the most perfect crisp & cool summer dress! With a white sleeveless organdy bodice paired with a pretty baby blue cotton floral skirt, what more could she ask? Underneath Cissy wears a new white taffeta & tulle slip with matching panties, vintage hosiery and her taupe sandals are spot on with her ensemble. Especially gorgeous is the strand of vintage graduated faux pearls around Cissy’s neck, which she compliments with a vintage faux pearl bracelet and faux “diamond” ring. And once again with the PERFECT hat & matching bag, what a statement she makes! This 1958 Cissy is gorgeous, with beautiful features and refreshed blush. She has a thick honey blonde wig with lots of pretty curls framing her face. She had a small hip separation at the very top of each leg, not visible as each is inside her body cavity. They have been professionally repaired. And oh my gosh, those eyes – such crystal clear baby blues with full lashes! Cissy has no splits, cracks or odors, and she will come to you with a replicated vintage hang tag. SUCH A SUMMER TREAT! &####127864; Cissy relaxes with a Cosmo after a long day at the office. &####127864; If you’ve searched for the elusive secretary to add to your collection, this one is very sweet. She’s very hard to find in this condition. Her rich golden blonde hair is the iconic Cissy bob with spit curl bangs, that epitomized the working girl. Her sparkly, clear eyes are mostly still blue and the whites have not yellowed. Her creamy complexion, with high color blush, eye shadow, and satiny red lips, is to die for!!! She’s an infused face, which many collectors prefer as it has a certain translucence that’s hard to match. Her stringing is perfect for posing beautifully in any outfit you desire. She can even stand by herself if you balance her just right! Her arm and body color still match beautifully, so she can wear those revealing outfits without a problem. She’ll come to you in her original secretary outfit, consisting of a white organdy pin tucked blouse trimmed with Valenciennes lace, black felt jacket and circle skirt, who’s elastic is unstretched. Underneath she wears a batiste slip and original panties. Her thigh high stockings are a really fine replacement. Her original black high heeled sandals are a bit stretched as is so often the case. Oh, and let’s not forget her flirty little hat!!! It’s original, and in my opinion the pièce de ré·sis·tance of the whole outfit. It’s very hard to find. She will come with her original black hat box. It will need a new cord. She’s free of splits, cracks, and mold. That being said, she’s vintage 1957, so please don’t expect perfection at her age… She will show signs of age and wear. She comes from my spotless, not smoking studio.
