Very rare, coveted & gorgeous Cissette Margot Klondike Kate Madame Alexander 9 inch hard plastic doll. This rare Cissette is from the 1962 Madame Alexander Vintage Collection. Klondike Kate was the show girl of the period of the Alaskan gold rush boom. She was created as an exclusive edition for FAO Schwarz in 1962. She is a MARGOT Cissette – the Margot line was only in production for two years so she is a rare model. Klondike Kate’s features are a socket movable head, elaborate upswept hairdo, blue eye shadow, black eyeliner, rosebud pink lips, and nailpolish. She is wearing a 3 strand pearl necklace (one has a clasp). No earrings but has a diamond ring and rhinestone bracelet. Her nails are painted a pretty rose pink. She is wearing a red velvet fitted style dress, a trimmer with matching nylon tulle and swirly braid. Very much like Miss Kitty saloon girl singer from the Gunsmoke show, also popular in this early 60s era. The costume is tagged Madame Alexander New York & is in Lovely condition. 4 square shaped snaps. She is Alexander model 761, 1962. Her brunette hair in a fancy updo has 4 red feather plumes. She has black lace and ruffled panties and stockings. She has the MADAME ALEXANDER imprint on her back, this can be seen in the photo. She is shown on pg. Her face is exquisite. Her sleepy eyes work beautifully. Her legs are jointed just above the knee and her arms move as well in ball and socket fashion. Now to the flaws: one part of one finger on her right hand is missing and her torso became stained from the black panties over the decades. There are many many replacement parts for MA dolls – so I believe finding a new right arm and replacing it will be fairly easy. Miss Kate has the MA lady torso shape.
