Rare 12 Edith The Lonely Doll limited edition felt doll by Madame Alexander #41425 from 2005 based on the Edith character in Dare Wright’s classic book The Lonely Doll. The photographs you’re looking at are of the doll that I’m keeping for myself. The one you will receive has never been out of the box or even the outer cardboard mailing sleeve surrounding the box. Edith has been carefully stored since 2005 just waiting for the right person to… Give her a home. Edith is dressed just like her namesake in the book in a pink and white checked dress, sweet petticoat and a crisp white apron. She wears little gold earrings and has a bouncy blonde ponytail. She is made of felt like the vintage Lenci that became the original Edith. Her numbered Certificate of Authenticity is inside the box. Only 500 of these very special dolls were created. Up for your viewing is a 36in 1959 Alexander play pal size doll named Joanie. She is in fair condition needing some TLC with scuffs and marks throughout the body mostly on her arms. A little pink mark on her chin. Her arms are a bit loose, the right arm being more loose than the left. They cannot hold into position when reaching out fully. There is something rattling inside the doll probably one of the joint band parts. I brushed her hair and gave a quick wipe down, that is it. Hair is in decent condition but does have matting on the inside layer towards the back. These are normal clothes I used from my 2 year old daughter and I will include them. Dress is a bit worn. Shoes have some wear and dirt. Doll doesn’t have any mildew smells. Row of hair plugs missing on the back neck. 2 hair plugs missing near the ear. The lighting outside was really good and I admit the pictures turned out probably better than she is. For a 1959 doll though I think she looks nice. Please note in the nude photo her upper right leg it looks like a crack in the picture but it is just a hair that was stuck on. If I have time i’ll retake those shots. This lovely vintage doll is in very good condition with only wear to her hat that would need an expert to restore properly. Some of the little blue flowers on the top of the hat have fallen off, but are included. Her hair also needs to be properly styled. She has sleep eyes and I think all her clothes are original… Her dress, slip, panties, stockings, and high heel shoes. Her shoes are strappy, and I have no idea how to properly put them on, so I hope you can get the idea. She is hard plastic, but her arms feel more like a rubber covering over hard plastic. Her knees bend as shown, and she measures 19 1/2. Please look closely at my photos for details. Vintage 1961 Caroline Kennedy Doll By Madame Alexander In Original Tagged Dress. This little beauty was made in 1961 by Madame Alexander. She features short blonde hair which is curled under, green sleepy eyes with lashes, multistroke brows, painted lower lashes, rosy cheeks with dimples and an open mouth with a tongue. She stands and balances independently. She has all of her fingers on both hands. She has no marks or blemishes. The only flaw she has is a lazy right right that doesnt want to stay all the way open. Otherwise, her eyes open and close as they should. She is dressed in her original tagged dress with bow straps. Dress is in excellent condition with no tears or stains. Underneath she is wearing white panties, socks and shoes. Doll is marked ALEXANDER 1961 on her head. Beautiful 1957 Cissy doll wearing the Bon Voyage outfit blouse, skirt and pin watch. She’s 20 tall with red-blond hair and pretty sleep eyes. Cissy’s rubbery feeling arms have detached and they’re dirty but seem fine otherwise. Her head is wobbly on neck — not sure if this is normal. Her lovely face has a few small, light marks as shown — I only used a damp cloth on her, so they might be easy to clean up if you know how. Legs look a little dirty. I see no cracks along her joints or other damage except what I’ve already mentioned. Her hair seems nice and thick but is a little messy and I can see what looks like a seam just behind her bangs. Clothes need cleaning and her blouse is missing the flower at top. The pin watch looks like it’s in great shape with just minor expected wear. She’s wearing white underwear that are not tagged, and has no shoes or other clothes or accessories. I don’t know much about dolls, just what I can find online, so please let me know if you have any questions. 20 Cissy Madame Alexander W/Tagged Yellow Taffeta Floral Dress- 1950s. Does have a vintage odor on doll clothing- this doll is over 60 yrs old so an odor should be expected. Wig is the glue on wig- still has spanner bar across top of head. I do believe her earrings have been broke off(the part that hangs down). Have not tried to remove any marks on the doll. Vintage Madame Alexander Victoria from The Me and My Shadow 1954 Series. Victoria from The Me and My Shadow Series of 1954. #2030C in a reminiscent of 1850. Her Slate blue taffeta dress. With side panniers and great bustle drapery is delicately etched with narrow white silk braid. A hat of starched white lace has a top-knot of roses and forget-me-nots, and is tied with a fustian satin ribbon. A fushia velvet draw string bag adds the finished touch. Her clothes are lustrous and crispy Maggie face is striking. This impressive doll is seldom found in this NEW condition and rivals French bisque dolls in costume. 18 Hard Plastic in mint condition. This doll is often referred to as “The Black Widow” because of her black dress. She is pristine and all original, and includes all of her original accessories which are often missing including her original hangtag. This is a very clean doll with a beautiful ruby lips, pink cheeks, clear blue eyes original eyelashes, no touch ups all original. She looks like the day she came out of the factory. There are no cracks or splits. Her clothes are immaculate no holes, rips, tears, stains, or odors to the clothes or the doll. The original bob wig has never been combed out or re-styled. The flowers on her hat are mostly pink and it still has the original chin strap. She still wears the original ring from 1955 with the hankie attached, and rhinestone bracelet. This is very rare to find. The band on this ring is not a smooth circle and the stone is not in prongs. I believe this ring was only used in 1955, Cissy’s debut year. Her tagged black taffeta dress, black shoes, stockings, ric rack pink petticoat and pink taffeta panties are original to this doll. The lucite purse which is very hard to find contains the original comb and sunglasses. Also included is a bit of nostalgia shown in the last photo a note from the original owner saying who bought the doll for her, and when and where. The purse has glue on the back pictured in the photos. The photos are the main description please examine them carefully. 18 VINTAGE MADAME ALEXANDER QUEEN ELIZABETH MARGARET FACE WALKER DOLL. Up for sale is an 18 vintage Madame Alexander Queen Elizabeth Margaret face walker doll. Her gown and hair are gorgeous. Her face is as well. I do not know if any of the jewelry is original or not. She does not have a crown. The walking mechanism is in working order. The sash is pale blue.
