Her hair is still in original net. Her earrings, nylons, shoes are 1956. Petticoat , purse, necklace & bracelet are from 1980s. All elastic is good in undies and petticoat. Her hat is a Richard Original. Her dress has a stain on the front part of sash. This beautiful Cissy Doll Rhinestone Side Drape Pink Gown is a stunning evening gown with rhinestone accents. Reproduced in the likeness of the original, this gown is created in crisp taffeta and fully lined in cotton organdy. The gown features a long form-fitting bodice attached to a full trained skirt topped with a long side draped sash. Cissy looks ready for the red carpet in this rhinestone draped dress. The dress has been created by RubieMae of Forget Me Not Dolls. This gown originally came in many colors in 1956 and is so reminiscent of this golden age of couture fashion. The dress, pictured in The Cissy Files book on page 33, came in many different colors. Although the dress is pictured with the slip underneath the gown, it IS NOT INCLUDED. The hooped half slip adds volume to the gown and is a little longer in the back to accommodate the train on the dress. The off-white taffeta slip has an elastic waist that closes with two square snaps in the back, and a deep crinoline ruffle along the lower edge. This Cissy is a painted plastic Cissy, not an infused one. Cissy has been cleaned and restrung. She has no cracks or splits. She has had repair and paint to a hip split on the left leg and a small surface crack on the inside of her left knee. She has had a reblush and a protective matte finish applied to her face. She has beautiful blue eyes and she has full lashes. She has had lash fill in on her left eye. Her head is slightly wobbly, and poses perfect. She has an updo wig that was cleaned and retied. She has earring holes. Her arms are a nice match and have no rips or tears to the vinyl. Her dress is made of pink taffeta and fully lined with white organdy. Snaps up the back with square snaps. Sparkling Swarovski crystals adorn the dress at the sleeves and on her sash. There is also a new white slip, vintage pink Cissy panties, newer nylons, and new gold shoes. She also wears pearl drop earrings and a “diamond” ring. I do not photoshop or alter my pictures in any way. No smoke and mirrors, what you see is exactly what she is. Doesn’t your vintage CISSY doll deserve a gorgeous ROSE PINK TAFFETA FORMAL GOWN for her special holiday GIFT… She will love it! NOTE: Doll and jewelry not included… Gown is NOT mint nor perfect but in very nice vintage condition. This Cissy gown is #2036 from 1956 and it may be the RARE long torso gown of ROSE taffeta. The lighting may show different color tones in the iridescent taffeta but gown is not faded or dusty. A cummerbund waist cascades down to form a side drapery caught up by a rhinestone jeweled pin. The puffed taffeta shoulder straps are also adorned with rhinestone pins. Her gown is in very good vintage condition but the back bodice does not appear to be perfect. The fourth snap that is attached to the thick drape material at back waist appears to be reinforced with additional pink thread. I looked at a couple of similar gowns in different colors and the shoulder straps were attached differently. I checked with a well-known Cissy collector who has this particular Rose Taffeta Cissy Gown and she sent me pictures of the back shoulder straps and lining. Her gown and my gown both have finished bodice with tag sewn in between the taffeta and organdy. Her shoulder straps were stitched on the inside finished bodice and not on the outside taffeta like mine. However, it would be an easy fix to remove stitching and stitch straps back on the inside of the finished back bodice. If we find out anything different, I will post it. I don’t notice any particular tears, pulls or stains in the gown and it is tagged “CISSY” and has not been laundered and is also lined with organdy which looks aged in color. Organdy slip with under slip in picture is also included with this rose gown. NOTE: I do not see any noticeable tears, pulls, or rips in the fabric at the back where the snaps are located. P lease zoom up pic s of the back bodice and snap areas for condition details. Doll clothing is in very nice vintage condition except for noted flaws above and has no offensive odors and my home is non-smoking with no inside pets. I have tried to mention everything but please zoom pictures for more details as they are part of the description or ask questions.
