We offer for your consideration a gently displayed 17″ or 18″ Madame Alexander, marked ALEXANDER, hard plastic Mary Martin doll with a lovely sun tanned matte complexion. She is from the years 1948 through 1950. Her nicely blushed cheeks and full lovely lips are stunning. She is strung nicely, strong and tight for her head and legs, so she can hold a pose beautifully for display. Her arms do not hold a pose. Someday, in the far future, you will want to have her restrung. — —-Her coloration is even and true on her face, torso, arms, and legs. Please take note of her stunning unclouded eyes with full intact molded eyelashes that fringe her eyes. Plus, she has the lighter color eyelids for a real striking appearance. Her eyebrows are unfaded. Her caracul hair is full and even with no thinning or missing areas. I see a little fleck of missing color under her right ear. — —-This doll is one of hundreds of dolls we bought from an adult lady collector downsizing her estate. Please note, she is as close to factory fresh as you can find for an almost 70 year-old doll. Her coloring is even, beautifully blushed, and her color is unfaded. Her lips are bright and full. She is marked, very lightly, on the back of her neck. I can make out “EXAND”. —- —-Both of her clear unclouded eyes open and close completely. Her long molded eyelashes are complete and intact. Her eyes are stunning. Her outfit is custom to her, and an amazing fit, so it seems it is original. — Wow, I have never seen such an exquisite gown. This dress is not tagged. I have now seen the Mary Martin dress, and I know it is a white formal. There were some variations in the colors of trimming : red or green are the colors I have seen. I found the Doll Edition June 15, 2018 was a lovely photo. You can find many photos by googling Mary Martin formal or checking out the Doll Edition on Facebook. The fit, the style, it mustbe a classic over the top amazing Madame Alexander design. One could be a tiny pin prick size hole, but it is so little it is hard to see if it is just thinned. The snap buttons are well attached in the back. The top layer appears free of flaws, holes, or issues. The satin layer underneath is close to factory fresh. Included with this dress is the original velvety matching waist tie, her aged but displayable bright and crisp satin no heel shoes, and her intact lovely nylon pantyhose. Her white pretty panties are no longer stretchy. —She is intact and complete. She is beautiful and free of issues. —-She was only rarely removed from her showcase by the original adult collector. The doll was stored in a cool dark room in her pet and smoke free house. Her untagged dress is fresh and crisp with no major detracting noticeable major sign of age related, or sun, discoloration. I feel the photographs portray her well. The satin on the dress, panties, and slip are all clean, bright, and very displayable. —-Her hair is full with no missing or thinning areas. It is very true to the original style. The color of her hair is stunning. —She shows no age or discoloration. She does not show any marks, or rubs of missing color on her fingers, legs, or body. She does have the minor marks on her right leg, but you will not noticem and I believe they are washable. She shows nothing majorly detracting from her displayable condition. — —-Her coloration is much more bright and blushed than she appears in her photos. She is complete with no chews, no splits under her ears or on her seams, or major damage. We will not include her stand. — Please write with any questions. From the last year of production dolls to portrait dolls, this is a rare 21 Madame Alexander Cissy body Queen Elizabeth with the Jacqueline face mold. She is in very good condition with only her loose head and tarnished original tiara as problems. The tiara is held in place with 3 original nails into her head. She is appropriately tagged “Madame Alexander”. She also has her hang tag. She is wearing her original jewelry earrings and gauntlet gloves and bracelets. She is wearing original stocking, panties, slip and closed toe shoes in brocade. My dolls are all around 50-80 years old. I consider them TLC and some are in better condition than others. This is a beautiful hard to find Madame Alexander 18 Margaret O’Brien face doll, marked Alexander on her back. She is wearing mommy made clothes. She has blue eyes and ginger colored. Hair & long eyelashes. Her face color is very pretty. Measures approx 18 H. She is in very good “Vintage” condition. She does have some some crazing on her face and 2 small flea bites as seen in pics. Her hair is in nice condition. The Coat, Cape & Blue, blue dress with flowers have some condition issues due to age. The pink and white tagged dress has black ribbon that I don’t believe is original to the dress, but it looks cute. This doll may need to be re-strung. Her joints are loose & she could use a cleaning. This is a MADAME ALEXANDER ” Annabelle” using the Maggie face. She is from 1953 and is 17 inches tall. Her blonde hair is in its original set with the original ribbon. Her dress and sweater are in wonderful condition. No holes or stains to report. Shoes and socks are great and original too. Her stringing is good. Her face has lovely even coloring with some cheek coloring and the dolls eyes are wonderful with thick lashes which are all present (see photo). I think Madame Alexander created some of her best designs in the 1950′s. What a GORGEOUS doll! Produced in 1948 & 1949, this beautiful & rare 15 Rosamund variation is rare. I’ve had her in my personal collection for many years, and I was lucky enough to acquire her from the original owner, well protected in her original box! Her lovely tagged costume is in outstanding condition, with only a few tiny breaks in the tulle skirt of the gown. I don’t think I could locate them again if I tried! The pale pink satin bodice is trimmed in ruffled pink tulle, which matches both the gathered straps and the full skirt. There are two layers of tulle in the skirt, the outermost & longest trimmed in pink satin ribbon and decorated with three scattered light pink cabbage roses. The innermost skirt layer is a very lightweight light pink taffeta. Her panties match the underskirt, and close at the back with one square snap. The gown also closes as the back with two square snaps. The original rose & velvet forget-me-not bouquet at the waist is complimented with light blue ribbon, a tiny velvet forget-me-not attached to the bottom of each streamer. Maggie’s headpiece, in perfect condition, is composed of stiff green woven straw. Rosebud trim is fastened. Across the middle, and light pink roses and green leaves decorate each side. She wears her original hosiery & satin center-snap shoes. This is an exquisite doll, with flawless features and all original coloring. Her blonde wig hangs in pretty curls dusting her shoulders, and she has clear blue eyes with full lashes. Maggie has no splits, cracks or odors. VINTAGE 1950s MADAME ALEXANDER 24 WINNIE WALKER DOLL CISSY FACE ALL ORIGINAL. Darling vintage 1950′s Madame Alexander 24 Winnie Walker doll in wonderful condition. This Winnie Walker came from her 74 year old original owner’s estate and has been stored for decades in her MA box. She still has her little hat box with metal award coin and tag inside. She is an early Winnie doll with no maker marks on her. Her head turns side to side when you move her legs. Her arms are a bit faded, and there are some tiny (pin head size) marks on the back of one leg. Other than that she’s perfect! Her face paint is flawless with rosy cheeks and red lips. Her brunette wig is shiny, full, and in the original curly hair-do. The organdy pink dress is beautiful, but the tag has been removed. The doll is also wearing a pink satin slip with matching bloomers, and her little center snap fuzzy shoes are very nice. The doll and clothing are clean with no unpleasant odors. The bottom of the box is well intact, but does have a couple splits; the lid is missing most of the edges. Here’s a charming vintage doll from the Madame Alexander Glamour Girl Series. She’s a walker doll and has the adorable Maggie face. She’s in very good condition and comes wearing her original tagged blue flowery print cotton dress with matching bonnet, hooped slip with attached panties, white lace gloves, hose, shoes and a beautiful additional vintage petticoat. She also comes carrying her MA black hatbox which is in excellent condition with the authentic Madame Alexander Fashion Academy medallion attached. Inside the box are the tiny original pink comb and hair curlers. The wire in her hoop skirt is somewhat bent. Her lace bonnet has 2 of the original 5 rosebuds. They show some wear. Her dress is in very nice condition with perhaps some slight fading. Also, the elastic in the sleeves has relaxed. One of her shoes has a strap that’s worn but the snap still works and the shoe stays on fine. This doll has a darling face with lightly blushed cheeks, red lips and eyeshadow. Her blue eyes open and close and all of her thick dark lashes are intact. Her gorgeous auburn wig is in its original style. Her walker mechanism works well and she holds poses perfectly. VINTAGE MADAME ALEXANDER 14 NINA BALLERINA DOLL Hard Plastic , Margaret Face , Floss Wig , Tagged Dress , All Original. Here is a lovely 14 hard plastic, strung Nina Ballerina doll. Her face has nicely painted features and original cheek blush. Sleep eyes work well and she has all original applied brush lashes. The dolls shiny blonde floss wig is in the original up-do hairstyle with curls and four flowers. There are just a few fly-aways. Curly bangs are at her forehead. Her body appears to be in excellent condition with minimal signs of play wear. Her head stringing is a little loose but it can be placed in position and stay there. The doll has an original, hard-to-find, metallic beaded choker necklace. Her tagged satin dress is trimmed with gold rick-rack and flowers that match the ones in her hair. The dress has layers of tulle on the skirt portion. I found some small holes in the tulle most in the second (underneath) layer. Theres only a tiny bit of age yellowing on the tulle; you have to look closely to see it. The dress has a stiff underslip and attached, lace-trimmed panties. Nina wears original satin ballet flats that might have never been removed. All clothes are in very good, gently worn condition. Please look at the photos carefully as they are part of the description. She does have a faint “hard plastic” scent that you sometimes find on old dolls, but it’s not at all sour or unpleasant and is not mold.
