Madame Alexander Dolls

This is a beautiful 18 hard plastic Madame Alexander Bride Doll. She was produced in the late 1940s and belonged to my mother-in-law as a child. I do not know much about her, but from what I could find… She is a Lucy Bride with a Margaret face mold. She is all original.. Her satin and rhinestone bridal gown, veil with flower headpiece, all original undergarments, nylon stockings, and original satin front snap shoes. Her dressed is tagged Madame Alexander, as well as on the back of her neck. She is a beautiful doll with lovely facial coloring and her body is in excellent condition. Her fingers are all intact and her eyes with rooted lashes open and close perfectly. Her hair is very nice, blonde still in the original style, and the doll appears she was not played with much. However, her outfit is in rough shape and in definite need of restoration. Even though she appears to have seen little play, it seems that she was not stored away properly and her original outfit shows age discoloration, stains, and holes in the veil. The doll is so beautiful, that perhaps her gown would be worth trying to restore. I have not tried to clean or repair anything… I will leave that to the new owner. Her face is so beautiful and in perfect condition for her age! With some TLC, she would be a wonderful addition to your collection! Thanks for your interest! This is a 17 hard plastic Madame Alexander doll. The outfit is tagged Ballerina and is in beautiful condition. The delicate silk netting has no holes that I can see. She has no odors or cracks and she has all her eyelashes. The dress seems a little bit large for her but this is how I got her. Vintage 1950s Madame Alexander Cissy Doll Hard Plastic 21. Tagged teddy and one stocking included. Doll stand used for photos and not included. Pre-owned, pretty good condition but some issues, missing some lashes on one eye, pale face, tagged teddy with only one stocking and no shoes. Teddy has small flaws including a tear by one of the bottom leg openings. Stringing is holding but arms and head are a little funky. Forearms different color than upper arms, small scratch to paint on side of nose, other small flaws, as found. We store our items in a smoke free warehouse. For your consideration a Vintage Madame Alexander from the 1950′s lovely “CINDERELLA”. She is 14 to 15 (including tiara) She is 5 piece, Hard Plastic. She is a blue eyed beauty. Face coloring is very good. Her extremities are free from damage (reason I show you her naked body). I is clean: no plastic smell, mold, mildew. Her gown is tagged and in mint condition. It is satin ballgown with side panniers, silver thread trim, star stud accents attached to a white taffeta slip with matching panties. Her hair is held in a net snood. Her ballgown has no tears, stains, holes. She’s wearing her original stockings! Although they have a couple of holes, but lucky for her they are NOT runs. She wears her almost mint GLASS Slippers! She also has her necklace, and bracelet that has to be put back in her arm, since they are place by hand. One issue that doesn’t make it a PERFECT DOLL! For your consideration a RARE and Hard to Find. 1955 #487 Lady in Waiting. She wears a satin dress with side panniers of tulle and flowers and a coronet veil. Needless to say, as is the case with these vintage dolls clothing, the elastic that holds the veil is overly stretched as is the elastic at the waist of her organdy half slip/crinoline. When restoring these 75 year old + dolls, great care is taken in having them look like they did when they were mint & new. Color is vibrant, Finish is satiny, features are complete and great effort has been taken to replicate the originality from the factory. MARGARET O’BRIEN Madame Alexander doll Child actress contemporary of Judy Garland and Others. She has Clear sleep eyes, Her Mohair wig is in loop braids and is in great shape. Her Pink jumper with ric rac is original. The lace blouse and panty combo are vintage replacement. The Coat set was obviously made for her and is of her day. This set has the muff, hat & bag with forget-me-nots adorned on the pieces. All pieces are Vintage and while having a old look are in pretty nice shape. Good vintage shoes and socks. These girls have the prettiest faces. More beauties listed, so please take a look. Please look at all the pictures. There are good & clear close-ups. The item has been photographed well. Sometimes these 50-80 year old dolls just dont survive the test of time very well. Finding a skilled restorationist is as hard to find as the rare doll itself. This is a ART. A labor of love & mostly a lot of sanding. With these collectible pieces, I have done my best to keep the doll looking as original as possible when the doll was factory made (not what a 80 year old faded doll looks like). With that being said, These are still Vintage & Antique dolls. Composition especially has a lot of factory nuances that other materials do not have. Their imperfections are part of the charm of composition. This doll has been repaired if needed, and eyes will be clear and a appropriate color. There will be no missing fingers or toes. I use paints which are very similar to the ones used by the factory. The overhaul process includes stripping, filling, sanding, priming, airbrush painting, hand painted features & sealing. I pay special attention to the faces and they are completely smooth. I line the head socket with suede. I have been a skilled Artist all my life. This 25 inch hard plastic Winnie Walker doll was made by Madame Alexander in 1953. All original tagged outfit green background with pink roses throughout the dress , pink sleeves and collar with green rick-rack, matching pink felt hat, pink center snap shoes with cream socks which has holes in them, cream color slip with snaps in the back, and matching panties with a snap closure. The outfit has no tears, rips, or holes in it. Rosy red lips, full lashes, blue eyes, her head moves from side to side, painted eyebrows, glued on wig in its original set. There are no cracks on her body. The walking mechanism works great. A beautiful Cissy face. Her flaws are: her arms are faded due to sun light, her lashes stick close (but will open easily with help), and she has marks on her body I believe they are from a metal doll stand.
